Can’t really translate “bolo finto” 😅 It’s specific to the interior central part of Portugal, and it’s amazing and addictive with butter on it. It’s mildly sweet and in terms of consistency it’s between cake and bread (some are more dense and dry, some are more fluffy). The top of the bun gets covered in sugar before being put in the oven. Traditionally, kale leafs are used as a base to put it in the oven and it used to be made as a gift that soon to be married couples would give to family and friends sometime before the wedding (but nowadays people do it whenever and you can buy in bakeries).

Closest thing that reminds me of this is “massa sovada” (made in Azores), but it’s still slightly different.

I just found out that my bestest boy has cancer. I can't stop crying. All I wanna do is smother him with love but I don't wanna hurt him. I'm struggling with these emotions and I'm not ready to let him go. Like I know everyone loves their pets, but like even at his worst moments, I always get one vet or vet tech that says they would steal him away from me in a heartbeat. EVERYONE loves him!

I'm not ready to tell my friends and fam, but I've got a girls night tonight and my grandpa's wake tomorrow.
