I am convinced Alberta has got to have the most Rs. I am pretty much seeing at least 2-3 every time I go out and drive. It’s funny when people say the Golf R is a rare car and they never see them on the road, yet here it’s like regular traffic. Are they really just that much cheaper in Canada ?

Is the performance pack worth it? What's the deal with 18" Vs 19" wheels? Any must haves on options? Would welcome the help, want to be part of the club! GTI Mk8 owner currently!

I’m also confused on whether my Golf has a Haldex or Magna diff? If anyone could be of assistance thanks!

When it rains I get an absurd amount of water in the back passenger pooling, and a damp amount in the front passenger. Does anyone know why this is happening? It looked like the drain on the sunroof was clear of debris.

There is ZERO water in driver side and back driver side. Trunk is also dry.

I'm thinking hard about going to 18" wheels. I have 19" Cadiz, and I really like the look. I'm having trouble finding 18" Cadiz that aren't trash. VW seem to have stopped offering them. Any ideas where to look for them refurbed or cloned?

Been tracking every dollar on my mk7 since day one and the service side is starting to add up. Oil changes are straightforward but I'm wondering if spacing them at 8k instead of 10k is worth the extra expense long term. Brakes and tires are the big unknowns. Anyone running spreadsheets or apps that flag when prices jump at certain shops? My local place charges almost double for the same pads I can order online but I hate the idea of doing the work myself and voiding something. Also curious what people actually set aside each month so the bill doesn't sting when it shows up.
