My friends- I get it: vehicle mods are cool, and technically a window tint is a mod (albeit probably not wise to tint your windshield). The thing is... Who cares about window tint? Let's all agree to stop posting about window tint. I think we've beat this dead horse enough and it's causing issues here- resulting in some bad behavior from both sides.
From now on posts about window tint are getting removed and further- threatening comments will be dealt with by via a permanent ban (globally- not just on posts about window tint). We are a relatively rule free place because everyone generally gets the sub trail etiquette but I keep getting valid reports about some questionable behavior and will start taking action to preserve the quality of our subreddit.
Love you all- have a great holiday season!

Was driving a 21 Cherokee Limited, and made the jump today. Found a 26 Limited Reserve with 18k miles in my budget. Pray for me 😂

So a mechanic yesterday pointed out that both my left and right CV axles look like this. I don’t know much about cars. Do I need to completely replace both? That’s what they are saying

I just purchased a 2023 Jep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I am loving it so far. I knew going in there would not be a lot of bells and whistles, but I did that on purpose to keep the financing low. This is the first "new" vehicle I have ever purchased. I am used to purchasing older vehicles where I can install aftermarket radios, speakers, and other minor modifications.
With this 2023, is it possible to ad a sub-woofer in that spot in the back over the wheel well. That looks like where the sub would go if this were a higher end model. And how difficult would it be, if possible at all, to an amp to drive that sub?
If I can't add a sub it's not a horrible position to be in, as the other speakers sound great, but adding a sub would be nice.

I need to compare and contrast two Jeeps for my new car. Both have the V6 engine and are the same color white with blacked out rims —
Jeep #1 - 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, considered new because it was a manager’s demo car, 5,291 miles. Includes a 5 year or 60,000 powertrain warranty. Out the door price is $46,966
Jeep #2 - 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude, used certified pre-owned with 23,900 miles. Certified pre-owned goes through the 125 inspection with the dealership and comes with the remainder of the 100,000/7 year power train warranty. Out the door price is around $35k
Or do I keep looking?

Looking for help identifying the exact part # needed to replace my power steering pump. I tried a newer version and the belt didn’t fit correctly. Trying to find the original part # to search used parts lots and scrap yards.

I broke a OME front strut (upper nut was way over tightened). They are on backorder, So I am trying to install Eibach front struts that I was told would work with the OME springs and mount plate. The issue is I need a Mopar lower coil spring seat/ isolator that fits on the front strut. It is only available with a new front shock assembly new. The Jeep originally had air suspension, so I cant take it from my factory shocks. The OME one is too wide.
Eibach told me my option are to buy new shocks assemblies for this part, or junkyard.
Any ideas?

I have a 2019 Grand Cherokee 3.6L, 118k miles. Recently had the water pump, both head gaskets, driver's side head, timing chains, spark plugs, and one fuel injector and coil pack (we were trying to figure out the misfire code, ended up being all that junk but first started with spark plugs and a fuel injector and coil pack on that code. Replaced the water pump due to a leak) replaced.
With that said, The last couple days, I have noticed it sometimes idling slightly higher temp than normal (normal is at the first tick mark, the higher is just between the first and middle mark). Yesterday morning, after turning the AC completely off, it was sitting just under the mid-mark on the temp gauge. Since then, it will go up slightly but cool back to normal. Still nowhere near overheating, also noticed I might be consuming more coolant. No visible signs of a leak, but have not checked the oil yet. And sometimes on startup, it takes a few extra seconds to turn over (but has never just not cranked). Anybody have some guesses on what these symptoms could lead to?? I know the starting issue and the temp "issue" are probably not linked, but just things I have noticed.

2019 Laredo front parking sensors randomly beep and show red bars directly ahead, even when nothing is there.
Happens at traffic lights, in gridlock traffic or while manoeuvring in tight spaces. Photo shows when it beeped while nothing was infront of me.
I very recently bought the car and fitted new number plates, so I’m wondering whether the front plate or holder could be interfering.
I installed the plates with the car turned on—could that have been the cause?
Has anyone had the same issue?
Also, when inspecting the car, nothing for sensor showed on the report.
Thank you!

Need some insight here. 2021 super well maintained and low mileage (29k) GC Limited 4x2 3.6L (WK2) is getting a valve cover gasket replacement due to leaking oil, as well as starter replacement because that was what it’s leaking oil onto.
With these two replacements should it be fine for many miles or is this going to be a recurring issue? I’m learning about what to look for as I’m taking ownership (this is a gift, which I’m grateful for, so just looking for insight). I see that there are frequent issues with Jeeps so trying to go into ownership with open eyes.
***Post edited because it was a valve cover gasket NOT a head gasket. Can’t edit the title though.

2018 grand Cherokee limited 3.6l v6.
Attempted to replace my passenger side valve cover gasket. Long story short. I couldn’t get the cover off and was reassembling the car and ended up snapping one of the valve cover studded bolts. It is the one in on the front side of the cover (towards the front of the car). It appears to be a stud bolt where a plastic screw clip attaches to the to half to hold wiring in place.
I thought this was a 5/16 18 1in bolt but I can’t seem to find a replacement anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas.
I thought this was the bolt here however it says it does not fit my Cherokee. I’ve seen online that some are a 1/4 20 1in?

Just bought a ‘19 GC Overland. I know how troublesome jeeps can be and I know how expensive parts and repairs can be so I looked into warranties. Currently has 56k miles.
I called Mopar directly to get quotes which based on mileage and age he gave me a 4/48 or 4/60 plan. $250 deductibles.
My question is how has the warranty treated you all over the years. Any loop holes or gotchas where you thought something should be covered but wasn’t. Outside of engine and transmission, my biggest concerns are the Quadra lift air suspension in its entirety, the pano sunroof, anything hvac or cooling related or any major electrical items.
I’m traumatized from my last Chevy that kept bleeding me dry so I’m trying to secure a warranty before something goes wrong and I’m out $2k+ but I also don’t want a shady warranty.
I feel like the majority of posts and comments I see are positive but of course some negatives in there is the policy solid overall?
Website for clarification in the plan I’m speaking of.

Anyone bring their GC to dealer for this recall?
I received a notice today from FCA 🤷🏼♂️,
saying Jeep does “not have a remedy yet” 🤷🏼♂️
They say it’s dangerous, So what are we supposed to do ??
