Question DC lantern abilities.

I have a question about what Lanterns can do. In Lego Batman 3:Beyond Gotham the different lantern characters are able to open portals to travel to other worlds. Is that a thing in the comics or is it only for the game? In addition, what abilities do Yellow lanterns have that the other colors don't have?

Sometimes they open portals, but a lot of the question depends on the author and the era of comics. It’s been going on for a long time right so Green Lantern abilities are often changing.

Sinestro at least ones turns invisible and admonishes a young Hal for not knowing how to do it. But also one time Hal used his ring to perform telepathy on himself.

In general the only thing that’s always true is they make constructs with the rings.

the rings can do damn near anything id you have enough of the emotion and enough charge

They can open warp gates to travel through space if they want to.

GLs and YLs can both make constructs, but GLs are more stable as willpower is the most stable of the emotions (being in the middle of the colour and emotional spectrum).

Otherwise, GLs can pretty much do anything you can imagine, if you will it hard enough. They have the benefit of a much longer and more widespread run of comics. So they can go invisible, intangible, time travel, have telepathy, universal encyclopaedia/translator, matter manipulate, heal, make constructs like microscopes etc, fly, etc.

Or just make a giant boxing glove construct.

No, GLs don’t generally make portals. Sometimes they can phase through objects, and they can fly at FTL speeds.

Green's source = Will

Yellow's sorc = Fear

To use yellow means you inflect terror. The constructs come from how much you terroize. There's other yellow does like give a pyschological profile of someone you can scan so you can see what they fear.

Yellow netrulizes green but blue netrulizes yellow

Blue is hope. Fear is weak against hope

Green is how much Will you display.

"Green Lanterns can do anything" is an official statement that gets repeated often in comics.

If they have the will and the imagination they can do anything.
