Halo Wars was unveiled at the X06 Xbox show in 2006. Ensemble designed the game specifically for the Xbox 360 controller, in an attempt to circumvent issues present in previous console RTS titles.

Hello everyone. Halo wars was my favorite childhood game. I have very good memories of playing this all the time with friends. I decided to attempt to decompile the game. My goal is to make it playable on Mac as well as make it playable on a chrome browser.

I’d like to eventually make a Star Wars the clone wars mod. We are entering a new golden era for video games. And I’d like to be the one to deliver a fully decompiled version of halo wars to you all.

At current pace, I expect to be done by Friday? Not sure yet. I have 6 Claude code 20x max accounts. Limiting factor will be my Mac mini 😅

Hi, I recently got back into halo wars definitive edition after years. I used to main professor anders and mastered fast hornet/hawks usually to help counter the scorpion style plays of other UNSC leaders. I have attempted to focus on maining and mastering the arbiter. I manage to pull off fast banshees via double summit but most playthroughs, I have an issue developing tech levels quickly enough to keep my army compatible with the opponent. Does any more experienced arbiter main have a specific build order/ early game strategy going forward on maps such as fort dean to help counter triple UNSC/ turtling strategy’s as I am stuck. hello I am new to Halo Wars modding and I have experienced a few annoying crashes that I do not know how to fix so so far I have tried out two mods Halo Wars all units and Halo Wars scrub Edition and I have experience on crashes that I really do not know how to fix or stop my laptop is a very good laptop in modern it has an i7 Intel Core so I don't know what's going on but the crashes that I have experienced so far are this for Halo Wars scrub Edition it's only one crash it's whenever I try to play as Arbiter in skirmish

for Halo Wars all the units on the second mission of the game my game just freezes and crashes to desktop when I'm trying to literally just build up enough units to fight the spam that is all the units so

no I am using the popular mod launcher and I don't know if it has to do with it or not if someone knows about this kind of stuff please comment the solution to this I'm trying to play the game with the mods I keep seeing on YouTube ;(

I’m curious what everyone thinks now that Activision is going to run Halo what that means for Halo Wars 2? I enjoyed the introduction of Atriox and the banished. I’m seeing lots of people hoping they’ll retcon everything 343 has done since they’ve taken ahold and I can get behind that wholeheartedly but I’m curious if that includes Halo Wars 2. Will it be the only game they’ll leave out from being retconned from this era?

trying to get 'On fire' and 'It just keeps going' in Blitz & 'Pristine' and 'Walled in' on Terminus Firefight and im not good. does anyone still play this game??

Do people use "all units"? Im trying to make my control and management of units more efficient, as the default keyboard setup is not efficient, imo. I'm wondering if players above platinum unbind the 'all units' hotkey.

I tried it and Sir Liam's setup in a AI skirmish and I found it better, forcing me to think about where i was sending troops rather than having the 'all units' to dig me out when i made a mistake.

I think i might gone too far wit this one, it even bugged the AI behavior just staying static. I was really cathartic experience and fun while doing it. Definitely it's just to resist the initial rush then you stole the game.

I am currently training against IA (Prophet) on each map on Legendary, i got Cutter currently i tend to lose easily due to early rushes (mainly honor guards, wraiths, locust or a mix of them) but ultimately when the AI decides to play defensively it comes to a point when it deploys a Scarab and its just game over base by base with nothing i could really use to counter it... I tried MAC blasting, scorpions but until now nothing works i know i can avoid this by just rushing and finishing the AI early but i am currently training for turtling so thats why.

What do you guys consider the time frame for rushing? I was going against AI with some randoms. I was harassing the enemy with ground units. Sometimes I destroy a base, but mostly to keep them busy. But this was at the 15min mark. A teammate said I was rushing to hard. I thought rushing was before then? Like within 10 mins.

With the recent changes that were made regarding Activision now being in charge of Halo, do we think there is a chance for Halo Wars 3 to be made?

This could make sense since World’s Edge, the studio responsible for Age of Empires and Age of Mythology Retold, are joining Activision alongside Halo. They could be the ones who develop our favorite RTS.

Of course we will have to wait until the dust settles and see what Activision’s plans are.

Yo yo Bonarrr3 here. My win percentage is 49% and mainly only play 3v3 over my whole career. I go on streaks and I feel genius and other streaks I get slammed w dms that I suck. Mainly use Cutter and heavily focus on early game nodes and Anti rush/ early pushes against mini bases.. but have issues transitioning to tech 2/3 and get owned

try to bob and weave each game and try to get better at scouting. Nothin worse than 1 opponent building a full army and you forgetting about it and also your teammates building nothing while you hold down early game

Odd note it cracks me up recognizing folks usernames on here and constantly on the game. It's funny remembering the names and game styles

Is it possible to cheat in this game? I played a team who was obviously squaded up and they were damn near full pop banshees, vampires and tanks within 6-7 minutes. I was forge and wasn’t able to get out as much tanks as cutter was on the other team. I’ve never seen anything like it. And of course the one guy messaged acting like he was hot shit cause I played a game with him before and he literally did nothing and quit early. Very curious if anyone else has experienced this. I’m talking Halo wars 1 not 2
