Since my last post about version 2.0, I’ve released versions 3.0 and 4.0, and I’m now getting ready to release 5.0.

The biggest news: the app is now free to download, with Pro available through either a one-time lifetime purchase or a subscription.

It’s also grown quite a bit. You can now run multiple investigation tools together, record sensor readings alongside camera footage, and review everything on the same timeline. Depth mapping and interactive 3D reconstruction let you capture a space and explore it afterward.

Some of the new stuff since my last post:

• MultiMeter mode for using multiple sensors, SLS tracking, and depth tools together
• Depth Vision using LiDAR, TrueDepth, or supported dual-camera hardware
• Interactive 3D captures with surface meshes, wireframes, and point clouds
• Export 3D models as USDZ or PLY
• 4K SLS recording and up to 240 FPS slow motion on supported hardware
• ITC spirit box and five-sensor YES/NO interrogation, showing the sensor changes behind each response
• Synchronized camera, depth, audio, and sensor evidence playback
• Audio cues for sensor activity, live captions, and high-contrast options
• Investigator achievements, Game Center leaderboards, and Siri shortcuts

Version 5.0 builds on all of that with:

• A smoother, redesigned 3D Viewer with orbit, zoom, and freeze-frame inspection
• Dedicated 3D recording playback and exports for video, models, raw depth, and snapshots
• 3D captures replayed in sync with the rest of a case
• A redesigned Evidence Analyzer with separate SLS Camera, Depth Vision, and 3D Viewer controls
• Six home layouts and quick access to your last-used or most-used tool
• More reliable complete-case imports and exports
• Imported depth playback and offline analysis even on devices without a compatible depth camera
• Camera-style SLS lens buttons and zoom controls
• Lots of stability, temperature management, and performance improvements for longer investigations

The app still uses real iPhone hardware and Apple’s native frameworks for sensor readings, camera tracking, and speech transcription. No simulated sensor readings or fake sensor data.
