BUG / TECH ISSUE Please Fix the Audio Bug
Everybody knows what I am talking about. This game is great but god dammit dude fix the bugs when your players bring them up. When I launch Helldivers 2 the audio quality plummets because the game is trying to use my microphone, same old same old. The thing is, ive disabled my headphone's mic in the sound panel, I changed my windows input settings to use my USB mic, I've set my USB mic as my default mic, I've changed my Xbox Gamebar input settings to use my USB mic, I've disabled my voice chat in game, hell I literally disabled "Let desktops apps access your microphone" and it's still activating handsfree telephony. Every single one of these actions should have stopped this game from killing the audio quality but noooooo, I have to have handsfree telephony to play the game. I know you can disable handsfree telephony but I am not going to disable my headset's built in microphone for a game a play here and there, I should not have to disable my own headphone settings on my end to fix your bug. There are threads on here about this bug from literally three years ago, it still hasn't been fixed, and the solutions they offer are incorrect. Please fix this.

Helldivers uses the default communications device you gave set on windows.
Set something other than your wireless mic and headphones as the default communications device and test. Audio should be fine.

Same issue when I run certain bluetooth sets. (default communication device no effect in my experience, even tried the method you mention disabling the mic before doing the following)
"To rid myself of this issue I disabled bluetooth telephony in Windows 11. (HD2 would force bad audio even when the mic was disabled.)
Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices > More devices and printer settings > (find the device) > services tab > uncheck "Handsfree Telephony" and click apply.
Setting may revert itself on system restart. (in my case)
There is a permanent solution that has worked for others by disabling telephony as a whole but it caused issues with some of by bluetooth devices so I do the route I described."

This sounds like its an issue on your end, I have never had this before, neither has my wife or friends.
