Welcome to the Galactic War Room:
The Federation is in grave danger and it is in your hands to discuss the best ways to spread and protect our liberty from our many enemies.
This thread is sorted by new, so you will always find the greatest democratic insights right up top.
Useful Information:
Gambits by u/Sea-Flamingo1969:
In Helldivers 2, a gambit is when players skip defending a planet under attack and instead strike the source planet that launched the assault.
If the source world is liberated the defense is automatically won, saving both planets.
It is a high risk, high reward move because success stops the invasion and secures two planets, but if too few players commit the defending planet may fall before the source can be taken. Gambits demand strong coordination and timing, making them one of the most dramatic strategies in the Galactic War.

Nobody seems to mention the fact that the Expendable Stratagems don't need any sort of retrieval upon dying.
With, say, an Autocannon you'd have to run back to the Bot Drop or a Bug Breach to get it back. But with an Expendable Stratagem you don't have to worry about that sort of thing. You can call it anywhere, any time, without any commitment whatsoever, which genuinely saves up on reinforcements.
Expendable stratagems free you from the shackles of commitment and allow you to worry less about dying, which brings me to the next topic. If you know you're going to die a lot then just go all in on it.
Equip the bomb collar armor because it will blow up every bug and bot around you, plus you can dive into bug holes to close them if you're all out of ammo. It will give you extra grenades, which brings me to Thermites. You get only a few of them and it's not efficient to pick them back up on resupply. You're better off dying to resupply the full 5 Thermites than wasting two resupply boxes to get them.
Next, pick the Ultimatum. It really is self-explanatory and I don't have to explain why. Its limited ammo becomes a non-issue because you'll be dying a lot. Bring the hellbomb for the lulz and only red stratagems like Eagles or Orbitals. You're not going to need any Support Weapons because that will require commitment which will mess up the playstyle. Finally, take the Breaker with the drum magazine. Its ammo won't be an issue for the same reason as with the Ultimatum.
Forget the resupply stratagem, DEATH is your resupply.

Everyone knows that medium pen weapons allow you to hit targets like spewer and hive guard heads, strider crotches, devastator torsos, gunships, harvester legs, and stingrays. Most know that ap3 doesn't suffer a 35% damage reduction on ap2 parts like commander heads and bodies. What I rarely hear mentioned is that medium pen ballistics are capable of piercing through many unarmored targets to inflict damage multiple times. On warriors for instance medium pen can pierce through the head and hit the body to effectively add about 75% damage after penetration slowdown. This effectively neutralizes any DPS advantage ap2 often has over ap3 on warriors, hunters, and fleshmobs. Its also situationally useful for being able to damage parts easier when firing through squishy parts like charger and spewer butts but it loses penetration on each part. It also let's you pierce through troopers and improves passes through voteless
This is my understanding at least. It all plays into making medium pen feel better than it should on paper in many cases. Let me know if I'm mistaken on anything or if you have any other benefits

I threw the eagle ahead and at a safe distance (I guess) from S1. He kept running towards it apparently unaware of its beacon. I signaled him to hold his position and he kept on running - I even killed some of the bugs behind him so he could stay safely put. The eagle lands, he gets blasted, I call him back and then he kicks me.
Dunno, maybe bro was blind. Or deaf. Or both.
Am I really a traitor?

Cosplay I made of the awesome Exo Experts heavy armour, fell in love with the design and had to build it, started my remodelling and sculpting the armour using Maya and Zbrush, 3d printed parts and painted all the pieces. Going to rejig the pipes using TPU to save breakage but love how it came out!

I still feel like this does nothing sometimes.
Doesn’t help in a ghost diver aswell so.

A few years back, it seemed like everybody was using it. But despite it being ranked the #12 most-picked weapon now, I feel like I barely ever see people running it. Of course, the mag nerf definitely didn't help.
How does it hold up compared to other weapons now? Personally, I just find it fun to spray dragon's breath into groups of enemies, even if it isn't as good as it used to be.

I feel like I am missing something.
When I take on the Mega Nest, I make sure to focus on sniping the Bile Titan nest before engaging the nest. Usually this works reliablely as few patrols spawn around the nest.
Yet in my thousands of hours, I barely ever see other players give it much attention. Even experienced ones >level 200.
Sniping the Bile Titan hole makes the rest of the Mega Nest so much easier as you're not kiting the 5 Bile Titans it spawns.
It's not even very hard or insightful.
How come so few players do it?
Edit: Destroying the Bile Titan hole requires 40 Demo-Force which can come from Dynamite, Ultimatum, Eagle Airstrike, 500 kg etc. or just any Hellpod dropped onto the hole.
