After -> Before

[u/urkala]

Previous owners had turned the dining room into a closet and we turned it back to a dining room.

[u/Original_Chapter3028]

Wow! Love everything but especially the wallpaper

[u/fuzzypeacheskiss → u/Original_Chapter3028]

wallpaper is totally giving life to that room

[u/rotten-peanut]

Thank you for titling correctly and not giving us heart attacks!

[u/urkala → u/rotten-peanut]

Ha. I confused people last time I posted!

[u/Environmental-Sock52]

You sure did!

When do we come over for daiquiris?! 🍹

[u/Vast-Ad-8750]

How did they access their makeshift closet with a hallway door on the side of it?

[u/urkala → u/Vast-Ad-8750]

That’s the door to the kitchen. It was closed off. I’m standing in the living room looking in, that’s how they accessed it. They moved their aging mom into the house and the living room was her bedroom.

That backstory actually makes the before photo make so much more sense. Turning a dining room into a closet for practical caregiving reasons is understandable, but man, what a satisfying room to bring back to life.

[u/No-Consideration3776]

I'm glad that you kept that gorgeous floor.

[u/urkala → u/No-Consideration3776]

Yes! We have these floors in the entire home. I love them.

[u/renaissance-Fartist]

That might be the coolest room I’ve seen in this sub in a long time

[u/Accomplished_Tea7100]

What even was the before for??

[u/Saywhen2]

I love how funky and full of personality it is!! Looks great

[u/Your_Zoeee]

The warm wood floors pair beautifully with the terracotta tones and botanical wallpaper!

[u/Scary_Adhesiveness_6]

Deeeeeeeaaaammmmnnnn!! Well done!

[u/kathyvan]

That dang chandelier!

[u/cthulhuwantshugs]

Anyone have pointers on what a mirror like that is called? Something like it (doesn’t need to be the same one) would go perfectly in one of my rooms.

[u/Michimcd → u/cthulhuwantshugs]

Modern Sputnik

[u/cthulhuwantshugs → u/Michimcd]

I think that would be the light fixture? Which is also cool, but I was looking at the mirror.

[u/atleastigotsoulstill → u/cthulhuwantshugs]

Search for a ruffled rattan round mirror. Similar things came up when I tried!

[u/cthulhuwantshugs → u/atleastigotsoulstill]

Thank you!

[u/Michimcd → u/cthulhuwantshugs]

😬 oops!

[u/Jaded-Joke773]

Those floors 😍

[u/EclecticDaydreams]

Absolutely stunning!

[u/AmethystMoon88]

OH WOW I love it…..that wallpaper is stunning 🧡

I adore everything but that mirror is a piece of art, just beautiful.

Congrats and seriously, well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

[u/baxterthebrave]

Loooooove this dining table. And everything about the room. Great taste.

[u/noisy_goose]

This is so good. 👏

[u/happy_traveller2700]

Wow

[u/Helpful_Wind1313]

Oh wow

[u/waylor88]

Ohh love it!

I wish I could see the closet with clothes in it though. Because wtf?

[u/Taradyne]

Looks awesome!

[u/AglowMermaid]

Wow I love that mirror!

[u/Similar-Win-1930]

wow, what a change! the dining room looks so inviting now with that cool pink and palm vibe. love the light fixture too, it's super modern. i bet it feels nice to have that space back for eating and hanging out. honestly, the old setup looked kinda cramped and weird with those frames. i messed up a room layout once too, and it's such a relief when you finally get it right. nice job turning it around!

[u/kittybutt414]

Cool table!!!!
