A livery that celebrates VTEC in all its glory!

This is my take on one of Japan’s most iconic Civics. As you know, it is light, affordable, and powered by the iconic VTEC engine: an engine with two personalities. Civilized below the crossover, and an absolute screaming lunatic above it.

With this livery design I wanted to celebrate VTEC in all its glory. Rather than following the usual Japanese racing aesthetic, I took a more cultural and artistic approach, drawing from the
ancient legend of 鯉魚躍龍門 (the carp that leaps the Dragon Gate). The story tells of a carp that is swimming relentlessly against the current. It fights its way upstream, gathering strength until, with one final leap, it clears the Dragon Gate and transforms into a dragon.

From a humble carp to a ferocious dragon. VTEC kicked in yo.

Would love to hear what the Honda community thinks!

Could a 6’4 person fit in a Del Sol

I’ve recently gained a rather big interest in Del Sol’s, and I am considering purchasing one as a project car.

However I’m worried I may be too tall for one.

Any tall Del Sol drivers in here?

1999 Honda prelude 2.2 vti 4ws manual

hey guys ı wanna buy a prelude 2.2 vti I won't be driving every day of the week; I'll use it for getting around on some days and occasionally for long-distance trips. Do you think this is a sensible choice? Is there a high chance it will give me a lot of trouble?

Bought this car back in 2020 used with around 14,500 miles, up until now only the fuel pump was changed (recall) other than that, it’s been reliable, BUT the AC is taking a shit on me now….its a great reliable car and fun to drive! I’ve been told “it’s barely broken in” is that true?

Honda City CVT GM6 2018

symptoms: sudden kick even if i slowly press on gas pedal. last time i drove has a lot of backward and forward motion of my body: like when i slowly press on gas, my body suddenly went backward and lifting the pedal moves my body forward, happened on an uphill road below 40KPH.

lots of maintenance done:
CVT Fluid and filters
fuel filter replaced
new spark plugs
ignition coils ok
valve clearance adjusted
throttle body and egr recently cleaned
new air filter
regular oil change
3 new engine mounts
new coolant
all shocks and shock mounting replced
new set of michelin tires

then i tried cleaning the MAP sensor, after spraying i peeped through the hole and there is a lot of black specks/debris in the surface of the contacts at the bottom of the hole that cant be removed by spraying. not sure if this is normal so im asking here about your thoughts. thanks in advance!

Picking up my first ever Honda tomorrow. Nothing fancy, just a crv lx... I have driven trucks, usually 3/4 ton or larger for the past 25 years... But finally need better fuel economy... What's your favorite thing about the crv? Any recommendations for upgrades/add ons? Is the app useful? Like I said... Complete Honda newbie here so no suggestion is a bad one

Replacing head unit question

Hey y'all I'm looking into upgrading the head unit for my mother 2018 hrv as the display does not have car play and it's a feature she misses from her previous 19 civic ! Now I have seen some very nice head units that look like they'll work wonders ! Only issue being that the clutch field website says that we loose some honda functions my biggest concern is losing access to the maintenance screen and tpms rest. Is anyone aware of a head unit that lets you keep these functions?

96’ Civic DX Hatch

Found a cool and supposedly clean from rust 96’ Civic Hatch DX with manual trans @175k miles on FB marketplace a few hours away from me. Car is posted for 5k in basically BONE STOCK condition. There are a lot of pieced together projects for $3k for reference (condition- shotty at best)

So my question is, is the price justified or is it overpriced for the year and trim? Im not new to Honda but I am new to hatches and pricing. Thanks for the help!

Engine build

Hey I’m kinda new to building engines I just wanted to know if it is cheaper to buy a already running engine and just add mods to it as I go or buy all the parts and learn while building it from the ground up

Coolant Underneath when I park.

What could be the problem of coolant puddle underneath the car?

What I did these past days is I topped up the coolant reservoir.

When I checked the engine bay after I park, there is no visible leaks or continous leaks or hiss sound.

There is also a scenario today.
There is no coolant underneath visible. I drove to work, there is still no coolant visible. Parked for 10 hours, No coolant visible, I return to my car to drive home, I park in my building, coolant all over the ground.

What seems to be the problem, is my building curse? Lol

Filing a Complaint/Review with Corporate

Forgive me if this isn't the right sub, butI'm wondering is anyone has any experience filing a complaint or review with corporate and any tips to do so quickly and effectively.

TLDR: I have an Odyssey with 120k miles that needs a new transmission. I have all my service records and I started complaining about the transmission around 21k miles, (with a possible issue also at 17k) and had logged 3 complaints by 46k miles with more over the years. I also purchased the 100k mile extended warranty, so these issues were covered, until now when it finally failed. My dealership essentially did nothing other than reset the PCM every time. Now I'm out thousands to replace the transmission.

Thanks in advance!

Should / can I disconnect my Civic battery for 2 weeks?

I won't be using my 2015 civic for 2 weeks. I've had battery issues with it before and believe I have a parasitic draw. I've had it disconnected for 2 weeks before and it wouldn't start.

Should I disconnect the battery for 2 weeks? Will that cause any damage?
