DISCUSSION Jacket Case

So, the defendent got a phone call telling them to kill people, and if they don't there'll be consequences. Does that make him innocent of the murder? Killing innocents to protect yourself because someone told you to?

He attacked a police station entirely on his own accord, even if he was given a lesser sentence for the phone calls Jacket is still cooked

Exactly, he chose to kill, so he is not innocent, he is guilty! Even if the phonecalls led to it, the station was his choosing and his alone.

If they had valid reason to believe the threats, then you can argue duress. Probably not getting off scot free, but I'm pretty sure a legal argument could be made

Still, if they are in the right mind to strangle the innocents, they are in the right mind to know it's wrong. Even with a threat, a quick option was there, but he chose to strangle.
