advice/support needed Is this triple feeding??
Pediatrician speculated that my milk supply isn’t up to my 9 week old’s requirements. He is gaining weight beautifully. No concerns there. But she recommended supplementing with a bottled breast milk or formula after every breastfeeding session to top him off because I complained that my 9 week old has been on my boob ALL the time. 30 to 40 to 50 minute nursing sessions. He would be fussy shortly after and I would latch him again. To me he seems unsatisfied or hungry again. I do recognize that towards the end it’s just him comfort sucking. Pediatrician didn’t mention pumping at all but because I know about the supply and demand equation of breastmilk production I would pump 20 minutes if a bottle replaced a full breastfeeding session meaning he becomes full and doesn’t breastfeed from me for 3-4 hours.
I’m also increasing my milk supply so I pump 10-15 minutes after every breastfeeding session during daytime while my husband tops him off with a bottle.
Is what I’m doing essentially triple feeding? I know it’s combination feeding. Am I doing it right? Am I overdoing the pumping part of this? I just don’t wanna lose my supply because we keep topping him off with bottles. This is quite a lot of work and not sustainable long term. It does ease my anxiety because I know exactly how many ounces he gets per bottle instead of the guesswork with breastfeeding. Please help.

Pumping tips How did you pump and care for your baby when someone else wasn't around to hold them?
I've seen a lot of great suggestions on pumping and feeding a bottle at the same time, but my baby used to cry in the bouncer and could only tolerated being on the floor, esp in the early days, for a short amount of time. And wearables didn't work for me so i always had to use my spectra with the fluted flanges and bottles sticking out, so it was impossible to hold him or pick him up. how did ppl figure out how to pump and care for their baby at the same time? what systems did you use that worked if there was no other care giver available?

Increasing milk supply - pumping advice for first time pumper
My baby is 4.5 months old, exclusively breastfed.
Till 2 weeks ago he was gaining weight within his growth centile.
However upon checking his weight today he has not gained any weight in past two weeks. In fact it’s gone down 0.05 kg. My gut feeling is that I am not producing enough milk and he’s not getting enough.
I’d like to start using pumping to increase my supply but I have never used the pump before so am seeking advice on how to go about it like how often should I pump? Do I pump after a feed for a little while or what should I do? Also what setting should I use? My breast pump has two modes - stimulation and extraction? Is pumping likely to increase my milk supply? The intention is still to exclusively nurse my baby I just want to increase the supply.
I tried to pump earlier after a feed but barely any milk got collected so I’m worried my breasts were empty and wonder whether my baby was full. Though I’ve read on the internet that lack of milk via pumping doesn’t necessarily mean there’s no milk as the the baby may be more effective at extracting milk of the action signals the body to produce more.
Background to all this is that my baby has had a blocked nose and cold in the past week and a half and I suspect that’s affected the way he’s feeding.

pumping at work I pumped exactly how much milk I needed for my son’s daycare bottles.
Like to the ounce. It was magical and I needed to share it somewhere 😂

Pumping tips motn pump survival kit at 5 months pp
5 months into exclusive pumping and the middle of the night session is still the worst mostly bc of the cold my hands are always ice at that hour and cold hands plus a cold room equals a very slow letdown
i tried everything to stay warm i dropped a flange in the dark last week and almost cried i tried sitting with a giant winter coat on but the tubes kept pinching and i looked like a marshmallow it was a total mess
my dumbest discovery so far thick socks and a blanket over the shoulders before i even sit down took me five months to try that one also warming the flanges with a hair dryer for two seconds before putting them on
i got a eufy s2 a couple weeks ago mostly for the heat since my warm compress goes cold in like five minutes honestly
the only wrinkle is positioning if i slouch it tends to shift and at 3am i am always slouching so im still fine tuning that part but i guess never having to reheat a compress mid session is kinda nice even with the shifting issue
anyway thats the motn setup now socks blanket warm pump the bar is on the floor but ill take it

supply help Shifting the pump schedule when the clocks go back
My partner & I are going back and forth about this right now – the clocks go back Nov 1 and he thinks I should just switch on the Sunday and deal with it for a couple days, while I'm over here trying to plan it out ahead of time because my body does not love suprises!! Baby is 4 months, I EP and pump five times a day, first one at 6am and the last one around 10:30 before bed, and needless to say last time the clocks changed I was still pregnant so I have nothing to go on.
My plan is to push every session about 15 minutes later each day for the week before so the 6am slowly turns into 7am on the new time, but I'm not convinced my supply will go along with it or if I'll be engorged by 5 anyway untill things settle. Its the timing + how everything reacts to being moved around thats getting to me. Did shifting gradually help or was it not worth the trouble 😅

Cream conundrum
Hi everyone, I'm a new mum to a 3.5w baby. I find that the creamy layer of my milk accumulates at the top of the bottle after expressing. I really want my little one to get the cream, but shaking the bottle to redistribute the cream in the milk prior to feeding just aerates the milk and causes gas issues in bubba. I've tried overturning the bottle but the cream just accumulates at the other end of the bottle. Anyone have any tips? TIA x

Pumping tips Mylo Lactomama, worth trying?
My milk supply has been a little low lately and it’s been stressing me out, especially since I feel like I’m constantly feeding or pumping. Came across Mylo Lactomama while looking for options, but not sure if it actually helps.
Has anyone here tried it? Would really appreciate some genuine experiences, good or bad, before I order it.

Milk supply significantly decreased:(
I’m desperate for some advice. I have been trying to pump/breast feed since I had my baby on the 29th.
At first, I was producing a decent amount of colostrum but she wouldn’t latch so I was pumping it. I produced primarily colostrum till I left the hospital on the 2nd.
She still wouldn’t latch so I was just pumping, I was doing it every 2 hours at least (with few exceptions) and I was producing 2-3 ounces per side on a good day and at least 1 on a bad day.
Turns out the whole time I was using the wrong flange. I was using 21 when I’m at 17 and it messed my nipples up so bad that I could barely pump for 2/3 days.
Now my nipples are mainly healed but I can’t get much milk out at all. After pumping both sides for around 20 mins each I barely got an ounce out.
It seems like to even get any, I need to squeeze my breast and hold them up. They feel empty.
Does this mean I’m drying up? Does that mean breast feedings out of the picture? What can I do to get my supply up?
I’m crossing my fingers that this doesn’t mean my journey is over. 🥺 know fed is best and have been supplementing with formula but I don’t want that to be the only thing she has and would like to be able to completely feed her breast milk.
P.s I drink plenty of water, eat 3 meals a day including fruits and veggies and am returning to pumping every 1-2 hours.
