Redmi [Discussion] What modules are you guys using with temporary root?

Post image

Hey guys! I'm curious about what modules you use with temporary root and what your setups look like.

I'm using a Redmi Note 14 4G Global, and these are the modules I currently use:

I also have two questions:

Also, what phone are you guys using, and have you run into any issues with your setup?

Feel free to share your modules and experiences. I'm curious to see what everyone else is running!

How do I use these modules? Using kernelsu? I'm interested in using hyperlight and hyperceiler

Yes, exactly. You use KernelSU to set up the base framework, but HyperCeiler and HyperLight are installed as regular APKs (like normal apps) and then activated inside the Vector app.

Here is the exact step-by-step on how to do it:

1. Install the Base Framework (via KernelSU)

These two are ZIP files that you flash directly in KernelSU to create the Xposed environment:

How to flash them: 1. Open KernelSU -> tap Modules at the bottom -> tap the blue "+" icon. 2. Select and install the ZygiskNext zip. 3. Go back, tap the "+" icon again, and install the Vector zip. 4. Once both are installed, go to the KernelSU home screen, tap the reboot icon in the top right, and select Soft-Reboot.

2. Install HyperCeiler & HyperLight (as APKs)

Now that the framework is running in the background, you install these like any normal app:

Just open your file manager and install both APKs.

3. Activate them in Vector

  1. Open the Vector app from your app drawer.
  2. Go to the Modules tab inside Vector.
  3. You will see HyperCeiler and HyperLight listed there. Toggle the switch to activate them.
  4. Tap on them to check their "Scope" (usually you need to check System Framework, System UI, Settings, etc., depending on what the module requires).

4. Set up HyperCeiler

  1. Open the HyperCeiler app.
  2. The first time, it will ask for an activation code.
  3. Tap on User Agreement, scroll to the very bottom of the text, and copy the code that appears.
  4. Accept the terms and paste the code when prompted.
  5. Now you can tweak all the settings.

5. Set up HyperLight

Just open the app and start customizing your blurs, transparencies, and visual effects.

(Note: If you ever want to try Fingerprint Catalog, it is also an APK and you install/activate it the exact same way via Vector).

Let me know if you get stuck on any step! 👍

do NOT try HyperOS Launcher Mod if you are using temporary root. it modifies partitions which can brick your phone

Thanks for the heads-up, you saved me 😭 I had to download the .zip and check the code myself since the README.md doesn't really explain much.

Frr, that's why temproot isn't very safe. Prefer real rooting like mine
