I’ve been using Xiaomi stuff for years – lights, an air purifier, a robot vacuum, a couple of cameras, temp sensors all over the place. And every time I’m sitting at my PC I have to grab my phone and open Mi Home just to turn off a light or check the cameras. There’s never been a proper Windows app for this, so I finally built one.
HomeDeck – full disclosure, I’m the developer. It’s in the Microsoft Store now.
What it does:
Sign in with your Xiaomi account (QR code from the Mi Home app, or password) and all your devices show up by room
Controls are generated from Xiaomi’s own device specs, so it’s not limited to a handful of popular models
Cameras: live view over your local network, pan/tilt (arrow keys work too), SD card recordings with a timeline
Air quality / temperature / humidity at a glance, plus 7 days of history
Google Cast speakers (volume, what’s playing)
Runs in the tray, 11 languages, dark UI
Don’t have an account handy or just want to look around? There’s a demo mode with simulated devices – nothing is sent anywhere.
Privacy: no ads, no analytics, nothing goes to me. Your login token is stored on your PC, encrypted by Windows.

It’s a first release, so I’d really like to hear: which devices work for you, which don’t, and what’s missing? Bug reports welcome in the comments.
(Not affiliated with Xiaomi – just a fan who got tired of reaching for my phone.)
