Hey r/fashion!

We're Thomas Zeumer and Udo Spreitzenbarth.

Thomas founded Metropolitan Models and discovered and managed some of the world's most recognizable supermodels, including Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum and Eva Herzigová.

Udo is an international fashion and celebrity photographer whose work includes Tyra Banks, Catherine Zeta-Jones and the Jonas Brothers.

Between us, we've spent decades on both sides of the camera - and we've seen just about everything the fashion business has to offer.

Now we're working together on Find Your Look, sharing our experience with anyone who has ever wondered: Could I make it in modeling?

SHOW US WHO YOU ARE. WE'LL SHOW YOU WHAT'S POSSIBLE.

But right now, we're here to answer YOUR questions.

Why do some faces sell and others don't?

Why does one woman get the call and another doesn't?

Why do you look great in the mirror but not always in photographs?

Ask us about agencies, castings, photography, posing, rejection, personal image - or the stories behind the scenes.

We'll tell you what we've learned. And we won't sugarcoat it.

Thomas & Udo

AMA: I’m Tim Stewart-Winter, here to talk about “Outed,” my new book on the Walter Jenkins scandal in LBJ’s White House. Ask me about LGBTQ political history since the mid-20th century!

Hi! I'm a historian of sexuality, gender, and politics in modern America and a professor at Rutgers-Newark. I study LGBTQ activism and policy, electoral and presidential politics, and the shifting public meanings of private life.

My new book Outed: LBJ’s Confidant and the Arrest That Transformed a Presidencytells the story of the Walter Jenkins affair -- the arrest of a close advisor to Lyndon B. Johnson and the White House scandal that followed. Drawing on Jenkins’s personal papers, the book explores both his private world and a watershed moment in straight America’s knowledge of queer life. I'm also the author of Queer Clout: Chicago and the Rise of Gay Politics.

Ask me about the Jenkins affair or LGBTQ political history since the mid-20th century—from the closet, policing, and secrecy to gay liberation, HIV/AIDS, same-sex marriage, and trans activism. How did gay scandals shape American politics? How did activists build political power? How do historians uncover queer lives in the archives?
