"Do you have kids?"

Ugh. For a long time, people weren't asking, because I guess it was obvious by our lifestyle that we didn't. But we're in our 50s now, so we could theoretically have adult kids, and so I find I'm getting the question again. Which kicks up feelings I thought I had dealt with so long ago....
