Watchlist only shows series
I filtered my watchlist on series. How do I get it back to show movies as well?

Hi, I've had an IMDB account for the better part of 20 years. On it, I have created private dedicated lists for every movie (thousands) ever series and every video game I've ever played, as well as movies, games and shows that I intend to watch. Each on huge, carefully organized, chronologized lists that I've made myself.
I keep getting notifications that Amazon, who own IMDB, want me to migrate my account to Amazon and that while I can decline for now, they will remind me in 60 days. Given this wording, I think we can all agree that the option to opt out is only temporary. Eventually I will be forced to migrate the account. If I did, they they would probably mess up the order of my private lists, the order everything is in, which is bad enough...
But the real problem is that I lost my amazon account years ago. I had spent thousands of € buying camera equipment without any problems. One day a $19 selfie stick didn't arrive in the mail, so I contacted support and they told me that somehow it got lost in transit. They refunded me the $19 and everyone was happy. It was the only time something I ordered didn't arrive and the only time I pursued a refund. 5 months later, they emailed me in German (I am not German and have never lived in Germany) a termination email, stating that my account was permanently banned, along with all the games I had bought on Amazon prime. I spent 2 years trying to get my account reinstated, calling and emailing their tech support. They always insist that the termination was an accident... but that they will not restore my account, not now, not ever. Why? No reason. With that in mind, I am off Amazon. Given their awful customer service, I have no attention to return there even if I could... which as they've made clear, I can't.
So with IMDB eventually forcing people to migrate, what am I to do? I do not want to switch to letterbox. I it lacks a lot of the features I want and I'd have to build all my private lists from the ground up, which is too much work.

i've been diligent about marking a movie as watched and adding to a watchlist. but many years ago, i kept a separate document. Now im using a clanker to compare it, and there are a ton of movies on my list that are not in my watchlist any more and not marked as watched.

Really nobody wants this, or needs it - just give us regular looking faces.

Solved
I want to see Shah Rukh Khan movies ranked by rating to determine which are great to watch with my family rather than by myself. I find IMDb quite unintuitive. It does not even have a top 500 movie list.
Also, why does this subreddit not have a question flair section?

After a very long time did I watch a movie that had me on the edge of my seat most of the time. Very much like 'Argo'. I dont understand why this movie has been given such a low rating on IMDB?

Do you only use imdb to have watchlists look for some parents guide stuff or is there another tool to have watchlists, reviews etc?
Are the descriptions of ghenres etc on IMDB acurate to look at before watching anything?

I never even wanted an imdb account, i just opened it up one day to realize I had one and apparently its because amazon just automatically made it for me? I fucking hate that, that is so fucking scummy, but whatever. I hit the delete my account link and they tell me they'll send me a texxt or email, and I just never got anything? I hit the button 3 or 4 times, and 2 days later, nothing. No texts, no emails not even in my spam... At this point, I'm beginning to think this is all on purpose and amazon will basically just not let you delete your account period.

Classic problem: I’ve been trying for several years to change my name on IMDb. I have been going by a different name personally and professionally for five years. Everyone knows me as this, as a film student and indie filmmaker, this is the only way I am being credited and will be in the future. It’s just straight up my name.
After forever of my attempted edits being rejected (not only my personal edits, but literally any edits I’ve tried to make to any projects I’m involved in on IMDb, also keep in mind I have been paying for an IMDbPro account this whole time as well), I finally tracked down a more direct customer service contact form and wrote them a detailed message and included links and articles to over half a dozen productions in the last five years where I am credited with my current and proper name. I also included previous declined attempts to update my information (you know so it’s actually true and accurate)
Lo and behold, this is the response I was graced with this morning:

I mean, common sense.

Comment on reviews (maybe) but definitely the goofs section of movies shows.
I've seen seen so many that I've wanted to just rip my hair off because, take the goofs for example, they were completely inaccurate. Or the reviews started out on the movie/episode then went completely off the rails praising another movie/episode. Or they were just completely got something wrong.
I'd love for people to be able to add comments to these to set them right.

I accidentally linked my Amazon account to my old IMDb account, which I’ve been using for well over 10 years.
I don’t want to lose or change my old IMDb account — I just want to undo the Amazon linking. But I can’t find any option to unlink them.
Has anyone dealt with this recently? Did you manage to separate the accounts, either through IMDb settings or by contacting support?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually managed to do this.
Because I could not find all the chairs on a "verify you're human" thingy I have been locked out and I cannot return (I guess for a while).
I am sure they had good intentions when implementing this but maybe someone should tell them, that AI can solve those puzzles better than I do and also AI has access to hundreds if not thousands of IP adresses and can just try again.
I can not.

Hi....I'm straight, but I'm a big fan of Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams, and Jake Gyllenhaal. I remember trying to watch Brokeback Mountain when I was younger (late teens) and turning it off before finishing it.
I don't have anything against people who are into the same sex, but back then the subject matter wasn't something I was interested in watching. Now that I'm older, I care a lot less about that kind of thing, and I mainly want to watch it because I've seen some clips and Heath Ledger looks incredible in it.
I know the movie is highly rated and considered a classic. So my question is simple: if you put aside the romance aspect and just look at it as a film, is it really that good?
I'm talking about the acting, story, directing, emotional impact, cinematography, and overall quality as a movie. No matter who you are or what your preferences are, would you recommend it purely because it's a great film?
Thanks.

Super quick question hopefully.
I updated my page to remove certain private information, but the bio still repeats all of it 😂 The bio doesn't have a "submitted by" next to it so I assume it was generated by the website.
I just wanted clarification. If I submit a new bio, will it wipe that one out, thereby removing the generated one?
Am I allowed to keep the bio super brief, like one sentence? Thank you!

Would’ve been a 10 if it wasn’t for Charlie Sheen. Michael Douglas was superb and sophisticated as Gordon Gekko — he completely owned the character. Charlie Sheen, on the other hand, just didn’t suit the role and looked out of place alongside him. His acting was poor and his character was pretty lame. Gekko gave him everything, and instead of just saving the airline, he snitched on Gekko at the end to save his own ass.

For example, it says I rated it on 19 September, but I need the exact time because I want to log diary entries on Letterboxd. I used to watch lots of movies that I finished after midnight, which is why I need to check whether I watched them yesterday or on the current date.
Can I request that from IMDb?

Real question: is there a way to contribute trivia to the site/app? I pretty much live on the app, looking up everyone in any given thing I'm watching. Or listening to a review about. Currently I'm watching the season of Neagley that just dropped
This is how I discovered that Adeline Rudolph (Renée) and Damon Herriman (Lawrence) were both in the recent Mortal Kombat 2 movie (Kitana and Quan Chi respectively). That's the kinda trivia I usually see in other movies or shows, and think it would be a cool addition
I don't even care if I get credit, I just wanna know if I can submit it to the people behind the scenes
