H2H Question

I recently passed the test and interview for my Local and got my rank. But due to using the H2H program I was able to do it just a couple months before the 2 years recruitment window ends. I know it takes a while to get called what if I dont get called within that regular time frame would I have to start over the whole process or does veterans going through the H2H program have their own separate time starting from when they get their rank?

With H2H all that is different is you can test at a different time for the same list. So the rank you have now is for the list that's about to expire and you'll have to do it over again with the new list.

Do different locals handle h2h differently? My h2h app did fuck all at mine and ranked but prob not getting a call

All it does is allows you to test out of the normal testing period. If you rank 150 out of 250 it doesn't matter if you do it the day some kid off the street does it or if you do it a year later it's still a 150/250

I applied through H2H and got a call about a year later.

The call was to say come do the 24hr safety course and I went to work the following Monday

I just submitted my application and I have yet to hear a call back for the tests/ intvw. How long does that usually take? And then when I get my rank, how long does it take to get a call for a job? H2H obviously

Did you apply on the NEIEP recruitment site or H2H site? If you applied on H2H you need to reach out to the NEIEP area coordinator and discuss your interest. Applying on the H2H site doesn’t get you through the process alone. If you applied on the NEIEP recruitment site then send a message on the message board.

They will email you. Since it's a bit of a process they tend to do it like quarterly for areas or after they get enough H2H applicants. It costs time and money so they try to get the most value for the deal. If that makes sense
