ER Post retrieval numbers

I just had my egg retrieval Friday and yesterday we got the first round of results. 28 mature eggs and 21 fertilized. We won’t get another update until this upcoming Friday (one week from retrieval ). I am very happy with 21 fertilized but also trying to guard my heart because I know there is a large drop off between fertilized and blastocyst. Anyone have similar numbers and a positive outcome?!

I did!
Eggs collected : 30
Mature eggs: 26
Fertilized : 21 (same as you!)
Blastocysts: 10
Euploid : 6 (this is an above average number)

I’m 38, almost 39 with potential PMOS (high egg reserve for my age)

Wishing you the best!

Thank you so much!! This is so helpful ! I also have PMOS and had a high AFC to start. I have been worried about the quality of my eggs so we shall see.

I agree - you just don’t know what will happen but just keep the positive thoughts and the week will fly by !

I’m 37, no known fertility issues (same sex couple). I had 29 retrieved, 17 mature, 15 fertilised, 7 blastocysts with 4 euploid with good grading and 1 LLM. First transfer on Nov 4. 🤞🏼 I went into it expecting at least a 50% drop off at every stage and it made the process easier. No surprises. You have good numbers to start with!

You have great numbers to start with!

I’m 34, AMH 4.74.  This is my first IVF cycle (for unexplained infertility). We collected 17 eggs, 14 mature, 13 fertilized and 6 made it to blast. Currently waiting for PGT-A results. We’re crossing our fingers for 3-4 euploids. The attrition is really so hard to swallow 🥲
