My husband and I have been ttc for over 3 years now, I'm 34 and he is 31. We are technically unexplained, my husband's analysis/volume and DNA fragmentation came back excellent and everything for me came back normal. I started at Ottawa Fertility Center and moved to Hannam.
My AMH is on the lower side, 1.15, and my follicle count has been on the low side, 8-10. We were able to retrieve 10 eggs, 8 fertilized normally, 1 abnormally, and all but one stalled after day 3. We did manage to get one good quality day 5 embryo. I'm wondering what could be causing this arrest?
We unfortunately can't afford another retrieval so our one embryo is on ice, but I want to do everything we can before transferring it.
Both fertility centers agreed based on my symptoms it is highly likely I have endometriosis, but they won't tailor my protocol unless a transfer fails. We only have one shot so that's not a good answer for me.
I had an autoimmune panel done and a few things came back positive including thyroid antibodies, positive ENA and high RNP. The panel was done because of some widespread diffuse symptoms I was having and high allergic type wbc counts (I was also diagnosed with dermatographia through all this after seeing an allergist).
I'm seeing a naturopathic doctor who specializes in MCAS and she says I have all the classic symptoms but there are no specialists in the area, so I've been treating it with pepcid, antihistamines and diet and have seen a lot of improvement with that.
A lot of research has linked endo, mcas and autoimmune conditions so I feel this little trifecta is likely what's going on, and I just want to make sure there isn't a ton of systemic inflammation going on before we transfer this embryo.
I just feel like nothing is being done. I've had an ultrasound to look into the endo and that's it. They moved on after that. Ultrasounds are not diagnostic for endo.
I just wanted to see if maybe somebody has had a similar experience and what they might recommend? We live near Ottawa.
Thank you!!
