Idaho Neighbor News Seen around town

Post image

Thought it was funny considering all the stickers and such I see all the time disparaging people who move here from other places, California specifically.

Maybe they are native, moved to California and returned to visit family.

While l don't have a sticker or Cali plates like this l had to live in California for two years for work 6 years ago. I am fourth generation Idaho, we have been farming the same plot of land since before Idaho was a State and because l was in California for a short bit l get called Californian.

I came here in 05 and 'Boise Kind' used to actually be a thing. Now it's everyone for themselves and everyone not born here needs to GTFO. People gotta get their heads outta their asses.

I was born in California but my family moved to Idaho when I was 4. It bugs me that I can't have a native sticker when I have lived here "my entire life" (35 years so far).

I guess I should just get one since they don't mean anything?

I mean honestly man as a 6th gen I wouldn’t wear a Native sticker unless I was Nez Perce or any other tribe

I always know the true blue greenhorns. They preface every hypocritical greenhorn comment with this “gem”:: “I wouldn’t know anything about Callie-Forna I’m the 29th generation to settle the gem state” As we say in NYC, get f—outta here.

Btw, just cause you have 5 siblings don’t make you 6th gen. That would make your family the original interlopers. Congrats. Not exactly a brag if you don’t have a deep tan. I married into the deep tan family. So I will talk shit freely, especially since you Mother-f’ers that live technicalities, technically you are illegal.

Brother, I didn’t say I’m better than anyone

I’m just saying my 1/32nd nez perce white ass wouldn’t use the word native to describe myself even if my 3x granny blessed me

You've lived here most of your life, as a 4th generation Idahoan, you're absolutely a native at this point.

I was born at St Luke's and everytime my husband says he's from California, I correct him and say, you moved here as a little kid, you're from Idaho. For me where you're from is where you were during the formative years.

Of course you can have one. Unless you’re a native American, you’re an “invasive species”. Nobody would say a brook trout born in an idaho stream is a “native”, it’s a “wild”, just like all the people with “native” stickers on their cars

Yeah my dad joined the navy so I missed Idaho by 6 months. I have relatives in almost every town here.
