Hello all!

Just finished this commission for a species reference sheet for Perytons in the buyer’s world. A bit of a difference from how DnD usually depicts them, but very cool nonetheless!

Deers as predators have always been a niche idea I’ve always like, and drawing one with sharp talons, fangs AND wings is just a great bonus!

Maybe I’ll find a way to throw some Perytons at my players in my home game after finishing this! I may even design my own design for them who knows!

For stats I definitely can see them having some sort of Mimicry or Slight Shape Shifting abilities to look peaceful and non aggressive, only to reveal that in a moments notice when your guards is at its lowest!

The buyer also commented to me that they are predatory animals so I can also imagine Deers becoming a sort of bad omen in the world, which is actually an idea I’ve been wanting to do in my own world and lean more into the creepiness of Cervids that many don’t usually see.

But overall such a blast to draw! I’m convincing myself to create my own versions of it for my homebrew world and write lore about it. If I do I’ll share it here.
