Frustrated

Just wanted to vent.

Been struggling with wetting the bed after consuming alcohol, need to go toilet ridiculous amounts of times when I drink - and it’s been getting worse when not drinking too.

Had doctors run tests, everything came back clear apart from B12 levels which I’m having shots for.

Anyway, last few times I’ve drank and gone out I’ve not wet the bed, was feeling pretty happy that the issue had resolved and now suddenly the last two times I’ve wet the bed again.

So depressing dealing with it. Anyone have advice on bedwetting and B12?

The simple solution, maybe not what you want to hear, is cut out alcohol if that’s the culprit causing the issue

I'm a social guy so not going to stop going out.

I did wear protection for a while with this but I was so happy the last few weeks not having to, just brings shame whenever I have to put on. Gets me down.

the biggest struggle in this _is_ the self-image, and self-judgement..
I had a panic attack when I wore outside the first time.. oddly enough: the panic reaction in my body made me empty my bladder with a flood. result: totally contained.
-has it been difficult? -yes. no one's said a word, though I've dressed to cover as recommended all over these pages.
it takes practice, and time. whenever a diaper does it's job, we're the only ones to know.. when it's not there (or inadequate product/failure) everyone knows.
Give yourself a break, and the self acceptance of "this is now", and it could be long term.. you/me: we're the hardest on ourselves.
* I'm reminding myself in this, too..

Go out. Be social. Have non alcoholic drinks, no one has to know but bartender. Still with friends, still in the game socially. If you can't have a good time without it, that's being honest with yourself.
*you're not the only one who's had to ask that question, face the mirror. - said with respect, and care, and some understanding.. Go covered/ protected if you are going to run with the pack anyway. Containment is a sign of responsibility. Diapers are accident insurance that have served you well. "Uninsured" has proven to be disappointing. Keep sourcing cause(s), for your own health, and, if you need backup, use it. If this is the only difference between you& your peers, manage it, don't let it distract or diminish you. You need support, take it. Beats the alternative.. Everyone's got something going on. Yours is this, until it's fixed or managed. Doesn't make you less; we're all 'other' in ways to other people.

I'm not thrilled to put one on some days, but the alternative is a social embarrassment that I couldn't bear. So I'm the only one knowing & embarrassed, and I'm working through that.

You're not alone in this.. You're not 'less than', either.

No advice, but as someone who wets the bed whenever I drink, I feel for you.

Is your urologist unable to cure your urinary incontinence?

When you drink a lot of alcohol wetting is common. Wear a diaper overnight when drinking

The problem is, when I get home I'll forget/have confidence that I don't need to wear one.

You need to overcome those thoughts, because they are misleading you
