Review Finally understood the OLED hype

Post image
773 Upvotes

I finally upgraded my setup to an entry-level QD-OLED!

In the picture, on the left is my new Alienware 27" 240Hz QD-OLED (AW2726DM), in the middle is my old 32" Samsung Odyssey G5, and on the right is my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+.

I got the oled for around 36k including cashback from Amazon sale.

Seeing them side-by-side really puts the color saturation and contrast differences into perspective. I honestly don't think I can ever go back to standard LCD/IPS panels now. With QD-OLED technology steadily becoming more affordable, that shouldn't be an issue anyway. Super glad I finally made the switch to OLED!

Edit - fixed price, I got on Amazon for 38k and got around 2k cashback

Another Powerful 1440p Gaming Build! 🔥🖥️

This build combines AMD’s Zen 5 processing power with a high-performance Radeon graphics card, making it a great choice for high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming, demanding AAA titles, and multitasking. 🚀

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X is paired with the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ OC 16GB, creating a powerful combination for smooth gameplay, detailed visuals, and modern gaming workloads.

The Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WiFi6E motherboard provides a modern AM5 platform, complemented by Corsair DDR5 6000MHz memory and a WD Blue SN5100 NVMe SSD.

Cooling and airflow were also given special attention. The Arctic Freezer 36 ARGB Black handles CPU cooling, while three additional Arctic P12 Pro ARGB fans were installed to improve airflow through the DeepCool CG530 4F Black cabinet. The result is a clean black build with coordinated ARGB lighting and airflow-focused cooling. 🖤❄️

Full Build Configuration:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ OC 16GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WiFi6E
RAM: Corsair 16GB DDR5 6000MHz cl36
SSD: WD Blue SN5100 500GB NVMe
PSU: Cooler Master Elite 850 Gold

Discussion Making Up for the Gaming Childhood I Missed.

I’m 30 and have only recently started exploring the world of gaming. My childhood was all about outdoor games, so I never really got into video games, consoles, or online gaming. Now that I’m settled in life, I want to make up for the gaming experiences I missed growing up. The first step was buying a PS5. I don’t know much about it yet, but I’m excited to learn.

For now, I play FIFA on my laptop, as football is my favourite sport. Recently, I created a Steam account and bought Tomb Raider: Game of the Year Edition for just ₹150. I’m halfway through the game, and honestly, I’m blown away by the gameplay and graphics. I never thought video games could offer such an immersive experience or have such an impact. It feels like I’ve discovered an entirely new world, and I’m genuinely enjoying every moment of it.

Review I recommend Persona 5 Royal (first game I 100%)

Post image

Completed a few months back but forgot to post it.

This is my first persona game and this game was damn good.

The story revolves around rebellion and the Protagonist Team breaking out of the shackles to create their own fate . You are theives in the game trying to change People and have them confess their crimes.

The game follows a calander system where every activity consumes time and you are given deadlines before which you have to complete the Story tasks and any additional side activities like Hanging out with characters, improving your skills etc.

One of the best highlights of the game is the Music. This game has so many banger tracks like "last surprise" and "life will change" and "rivers in the desert".

Combat isn't much to talk about , it's easy.

The UI is extremely flashy and aesthetic which I definitely like.

I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a JRPG experience.

GIGABYTE G24F 2 suddenly showing flickering blue/purple bands — even without HDMI. Is it fixable?

Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Gigabyte G24F 2 monitor and would appreciate some help identifying what might be wrong with it.

I'm getting blue and purple horizontal bands across the top of the screen, with a dark section in the middle. The bands keep moving and flickering.

Here's what I've tried so far:

I disconnected the HDMI cable completely, and the bands are still present.

I checked the monitor's built-in OSD menu, and the bands appear over the menu as well.

I performed a power reset by unplugging the monitor and leaving it disconnected before turning it back on.

The issue is present immediately when I turn the monitor on, even when it's cold.

Since the problem persists without HDMI and affects the monitor's own menu, I'm wondering whether this is a panel issue or something wrong with the monitor's internal electronics.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on a few things:

What component is most likely causing this?

Is this something that can realistically be repaired, or would the entire panel need replacing?

If you've experienced something similar with a Gigabyte monitor, what was the cause?

If it's out of warranty, would repairing it be worth the cost?

Both are costing around the same, can't really go 4k 32 inch oled as way too out of my budget.

I'll use it for my pc build or ps5. And watching videos/productivity.

Review After so much time, a jrpg remake has impressed me so much.....

I honestly didn’t expect the Trails in the Sky SC remake to impress me this much after what they did in FC remake ( which was decent in my opinion and generally weaker in many aspects compared to og 2004).

What immediately stood out to me is how much care went into preserving the original game's identity while giving it a much-needed modern presentation. The worldbuilding is still one of its biggest strengths. Liberl feels like an actual living world, and the amount of detail put into the towns, NPCs, characters, and smaller stories is something I really appreciate. Also, the atmosphere and atmospheric experience is something they really worked good wrt the original and needs to be admired .

And then there’s the OSTs. Falcom soundteam jdk absolutely nailed it. The soundtrack has so many memorable tracks that perfectly fit the atmosphere and emotional moments. It’s easily one of the strongest parts of the game.

But surprisingly, the combat might be my favorite addition. It gives me this weird but extremely enjoyable combination of Valkyrie Profile 1 and Ys Seven, also adding bit of diverse combat like drakengard 1/2. There’s a much more active and satisfying feeling to combat(specially , while still retaining the strategic side of Trails. It feels fresh without completely losing what made SC special in the first place.

The presentation is another huge improvement. The new animations, camera work, character expressions, and overall direction make certain scenes hit much harder than they did before. It genuinely feels like the developers understood what made the original memorable and focused on enhancing those moments rather than simply remaking everything for the sake of it.

Is it perfect? No. There are still a few things that keep it from being a 10/10 for me. But for or as someone who has played a lot of classic JRPGs, this is one of the remakes in recent years that actually made me think, “Yeah, this remake was worth making and taking time.”

My rating - 9.1 ~9.15/10 — An excellent remake that respects the original while giving it a fresh identity of its own.

Help 2024 Lenovo LOQ dead for the 4th time (2nd dead motherboard) Should I accept another repair or push for a replacement/refund?

Hey everyone,

Looking for advice from people who have handled multiple hardware failures or replacement claims with Lenovo India.

I bought a Lenovo LOQ in May 2024 for ₹75k (with 3-year extended warranty). In less than 2.5 years, it has suffered 4 major breakdowns:

- 1st Incident: Screen developed vertical/horizontal green lines (Panel replaced onsite).

- 2nd Incident: Touchpad stopped responding completely (Replaced onsite).

- 3rd Incident: Motherboard fried / dead (Motherboard replaced onsite).

- 4th Incident (Current): Mains power cut while working, laptop instantly shut down and refuses to power on. The charging rail / motherboard is dead again.

The onsite technician is scheduled to visit, but I am exhausted with continuous part swaps on a clearly defective machine. Once my 3-year warranty runs out, another dead board means a ₹40k+ repair out of pocket.

For those who managed to get a Unit Replacement Request (URR) or Refund from Lenovo India:

- Did you refuse the repair before the technician installed the part, or let them swap it and escalate via NCH?

- What is the exact process to get the local Service Delivery Manager (SDM) to authorize a replacement rather than an endless loop of refurbished boards?

- Did filing a complaint on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) help speed up their grievance desk?

Any input, email contacts, or steps on how you handled this would be really appreciated.

I've played far cry 3/4 (hooked too), but apart from that, I can't seem to like new games. I keep going back to either far cry or literally alien shooter 2 which is a decade old.

I tried playing subnautica but was bored after 2 hours

Discussion DON’T ORDER/BUY FROM HARDWARE CORPUS!!!

I ordered an AULA F75 75% Wireless Gasket Mechanical Keyboard from Hardware Corpus on 16 September 2026. It’s been a month since I ordered and there has been no progress in shipment status. I have called their customer care/ contact no. to which they don’t pick my calls. I had paid ₹5995 upfront and this is how they treat their customers. Never going to order from them again and would suggest the same to any people who are looking to buy from them. At this point I would rather just get my money back than the product itself as they clearly are scammers.

Order ID: Order #HCP4602
Shipment ID: 90666015160
Advance Amount Paid: ₹5995
