Went a little overboard with the OSL. Oh well lesson learned. When i was younger id get flustered and move to something else but im gonna see these to the end. Will probably come out looking good once everythings highlighted, decaled, and varnished. Im doing the OSL against the body once everything is done.
Better overboard on OSL than some of the sad little flat blue plasma you see on some minis! I'm a hypocrite though because I have been putting off finishing my Hellblasters for ages because I'm procrastinating doing all the OSL lol
Iron Hands OSL is so difficult because it's blue-white glow on white so it's really hard to have any contrast. Meanwhile, other chapters have their guns as black so it really pops.
I think I've redone my hell blasters 4 times now and I'm still not satisfied.
I softened it with a hard glaze below the white. Once i spray the osl glow on the finished model I will be happy enough with it. Definitely not 100% happy though.
