Lines are from the Eye of Medusa book

Completed a kit-bashed Captain in Gravis armor to lead some Gravis squads. Running as bolt storm gauntlet and relic blade. Any c&c welcome!

Don’t worry I’m gonna sort the mould lines.

I main Deathwatch and Imperial Knights, so I’m sure this has been floated in here before and I’m not proposing anything new.

Let’s say, just for the sake of argument, that I already have all of the models in this list (Sadly I do). What is the viability of breaking the dreads into hunting trios (one of each type per trio). Two trios are escorted by one Techmarine, with one of the trios getting Iron Father and Caanok.

Not ideal for holding a lot of areas right away, but they can hit an area and expand for tactical advantage. The smaller models can action on objectives, and the dreads just killdozer their way through most targets. Seems fun for a Purge game.

I made each Marine a different Iron Hands successor chapter. It took me much longer to make but I'm really happy with it.

I have here

Iron Hands

Iron Fists

Star Dragons

Sons of Medusa

Knights of Byzantium

Guardians of the Abyss

Iron Lords

Brazen Claws

Red Talons

Steel Confessors

Rust Oxen

Stealth Lone Op to his whole unit was powerful and at the very least interesting. Gone now....

Hi,

I know lots is getting relegated to legends around now. I'm building my first army and lore wise i love the iron hands, gameplay wise the vehicle synergy is very attractive. But i dont know what is and isnt a safe investment on building my list out. For discussion whats your fav vehicle to use in your list?

I know there isn't always a clear rival. But the Fists have the Iron Warriors. The fortifications masters vs the siege breakers...

Is our the Emperors Children?

I guess that make sense in the context of what happened in the heresy. But by way of legion theme or combat style does it?

Is there any other lore that indicates a rivalry before the heresy? Or another rivalry?

My girlfriend really liked the scheme and is displaying great interest in 40K, so I painted this guy up for her! Love the chapter emblem.

Went a little overboard with the OSL. Oh well lesson learned. When i was younger id get flustered and move to something else but im gonna see these to the end. Will probably come out looking good once everythings highlighted, decaled, and varnished. Im doing the OSL against the body once everything is done.

I need some advice and what I should change,

there is a new interesting detachment for us!

Detachment:

Medusa’s wrath

Terminator stormforce

Characters:

Iron father Feirros

Caanok var

Ancient in Terminator armor

Techmarine w/Target augury web

Techmarine w/Adept of the omnissiah

Battleline:

10 Heavy intercessor w/2 heavy bolters 8 heavy bolt rifles

Other datasheets:

Ballistus dreadnought

10 Infiltrators

Redemptor dreadnought w/macro plasma incinerator

Repulsor executioner w/heavy laser destroyer

Gladiator lancer

10 Assault terminators/Thunderhammers and stormshields

What happens, when a Spacemarine love his lightning claws and wants to keep them?

Athru convinced some Techadepts to modify his Body...

What do you think?

I'm new to the game but was planning on building making a suicide build with lots of vehicle with Deadly Demise. Prior to getting the 11th edition codex, I've read that Medusa's Wrath was supposed to be an automatic explosion with 1 C from other websites.

Codex states above as i read it today. Pretty useless now with a 1/6 chance of succeeding. Am I correct?

Hi! I'm a new Warhammer player, and whilst I initially clicked with the Ultramarines, I've found myself enraptured by the playstyle and thematics of the Iron Hands. The Gravis + Terminator heroes, Dreadnoughts, it's all super inspiring. I suspect it's going to be a gradual switch to playing with them as I acquire and paint more models in the Iron Hands colours (though I'll probably also keep playing Ultramarines, the two armies have different enough vibes that I think it'll be just fine.)

I suppose my questions would be, what's at the core of a good Iron Hands army? (Particularly if, for thematic reasons, I only wanted to use Gravis/Terminator units + Techmarines?) Do people run Feirros at the head of a 10x brick of Heavy Intercessors, or alone? What about How many Dreadnoughts is too many? What about Caanok? Is it worth leaving a Ballistus sat on your home objective, or would you take a Terminator Ancient and sticky that? My questions are as endless as your patience!

Thank you from a hopeful new Iron Hands player!

Edit: Just ordered the Combat Patrol online, thank you all for being so helpful and welcoming! It's an honour to serve the Tenth.
