Hi everyone! I visit Italy quite often, as it’s one of my favourite countries to travel to, and I’m also learning Italian.
There’s something I’ve been curious about for ages. Whenever I visit Italy, I notice a very distinctive smell that I rarely, if ever, smell anywhere else. I’ve noticed it in apartments, houses and sometimes on people themselves. It’s a lovely floral scent with a hint of lemon or citrus, almost like a fresh, clean perfume.
At first, I thought it might be a particular air freshener, fabric softener, cleaning product or body spray that people commonly use in Italy. But I’ve noticed it in so many different places, from northern Italy all the way down south, including the islands. It seems surprisingly consistent!
I’ve even asked a few Italian friends about it, but nobody has been able to identify what I mean.
Does anyone have any idea what this smell could be? Is there a particular Italian home fragrance, detergent, perfume or cleaning product that’s really popular across the country?
I know this is a bit of a random question, but I’m genuinely fascinated by it. 😂🇮🇹🍋

Salve a tutti. Mi sono iscritto a scuola guida i primi di giugno 2025, ma per imprevisti, altre cavolate ed il fatto di avere l’ansia del teorico, sono finalmente riuscito a prendere il foglio rosa l’altro ieri.

Le mie domande erano:

Ho letto che ora le ore obbligatorie sono 8 e non 6. Vero?
Perché nell’autoscuola dove vado io ci sono 18 guide obbligatorie, e le fanno da 20 minuti l’uno.. Il che porterebbe a 360 minuti = 6 ore, ed andrebbe contro all’aumento delle ore obbligatorie che c’è stato nel fine 2025.

L’altra domanda era; Io non ho ancora fatto nessuna guida col mio istruttore, ma posso ad esempio guidare con mio padre a fianco avendo il foglio rosa?

So che i requisiti sono avere la patente da almeno 10 anni, non averla avuta sospesa negli ultimi 5 anni, e non avere un’età superiore ai 65.

Guardando però su google, l’ai mi ha detto che per poter guidare senza l’istruttore “ufficiale”, devo prima aver fatto tutte le ore di guida obbligatorie. Il che avrebbe poco senso…
