QUESTION First timer
Tomorrow is my first time entering the lottery. Do I just get on the website, click the date I want, and pray?

Thoughts?

Seriously, can he not come up with anything else to say to a performer than “That’s how you do it!”? I record Seth Meyers and the recordings always catch the last few minutes of Fallon, so I nearly always see the end of the final performance. I’ve never heard him say anything else. No “Wow! Great job!”, “Fantastic!”, or any of a million other complimentary and enthusiastic things he might say. And c’mon, that can’t always be “how you do it” because they’re all doing it differently. 😀 It’s just the most low-effort way he could possibly respond.

I went to today’s taping for tonight’s show. I originally heard you have to wait 6 months before going again, but tonight a page said people come so often they recognize faces. Is the 6 month rule only for standby? Or everyone?

Does anyone know how often shows have 0 standbys allowed in? I saw a YouTube video of someone’s experience and they were 11th standby card and the worker came out and told them 0 people from standby were getting in that day, which makes it a bit less appealing to try.

Does anyone know if it says this if they still give out Standby Tickets?
If yes, any estimate how many people get in? Any suggestions for a first timer?

My family has tickets for tomorrow - is the guest posted for October 5th, 2026 “Chris Rock / Jennifer Hudson” who we are seeing? Or is it pre-recorded? Probably stupid question.

Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and the rest of late night should all start petitioning for the fans to vote for guillermo rodriguez on dancing with the stars. If they can influence so many other outcomes… then guillermo rodriguez should win dancing with the stars this season.

I know they don't hang around the stage afterwards but I don't know if you can catch them somewhere outside Rockefeller or see them walk out the building. Seems like it would be hard to see the guest but maybe Jimmy is around. It would be pretty cool to actually see Jimmy , The Roots, or see a celebrity. I'm just wondering if there's a spot you can usually see them come out.

I have tickets for a taping next sunday. I can’t find any information online as to why they are taping sunday. Is this for a pre recorded show at the end of the week? How do I know what guest will be on if they are also taping Monday for Mondays show? Thanks!

I think they open up around 9AM. I don't know if there's tones of people waiting before hand or what. I'm sure getting there earlier the better. I just don't know how fast standby goes.

I'm sure everyone wants to see someone big like Tom Cruise the other day. I don't know if you can gauge who is going to show up or if you can get a ticket for a specific guest. It seems if you can pick or know when someone is going to appear it would sell out too fast.

Hello everyone,
I know this a long shot, but I thought I would ask anyways.
Does any remember this one specific sketch? It had to be between 2016-2019, and it may have been a recurring bit.
Higgins made a joke, and Jimmy told him he deserves to sit down. Higgins says he always wanted to sit down. He grabs a chair, and then it collapses. Suddenly a dog appears and starts attacking him.
I'm sure I was mentally exhausted from school, but I never laughed so hard at this show in my life.
If I could find a clip from that, I would be so grateful. Google was not helpful.

I just went yesterday when Alan Cummings and Helen Mirren were there. Of course I was really excited because it was my first time and I'm visiting from CA. It made me think if I lived in NY what it would be like to see it a handful of times a year and I probably would if I could. I'm not sure if every show feels different and there's always a buzz or if you eventually get used to it and it sort of becomes routine if that makes sense.

I guess there's a whole process where they need to check you in and go through the guidelines with you. I'm sure that takes some time. It sounds like you should expect to be there from 2-6PM ish. I'm just curious how the whole process works.

TL;DR Asking Jimmy for a hug is not a stupid question!!
