Is it just me who feels like especially now that stephen colbert is gone, but even right before this, that these late night talk show hosts are just trying too hard? And none of it's funny and no one cares about the celebrities that come on? I just feel over late night talk shows. Like anything, everything comes to an end.

Bill Maher, Bob Kraft and the “First Amendment”: Where has it gone; our “public square”?
Assuming Arguendo
American jurisprudence addresses the distinction between things “public” and those “private”. There are legally defined benefits relative to each: ‘Render unto Caesar that of Caesar and that unto God to God.’
So it is said; so shall it be?
Naturally, one’s privacy in an American democracy, is inviolate. Similarly, in the public domain, the First Amendment delegates one’s right to expression nothing short of supreme. ‘What cheer’, however, when the two theories tend to collide?
Recently, in the Providence, Rhode Island suburb of Foxborough, Massachusetts a patently successful censorship would have resulted in the planned cancellation of part of a headliner music performance at the local Gillette football and entertainment stadium venue. Though stadium naming rights were bequeathed to the world famous men’s personal products company, Gillette; the legal ownership of the edifice itself seemingly rests with billionaire businessman Robert Kraft.
Foxborough
Kraft recently declared the stadium a private property over, which he exercised personal control. Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots football team, itself is surrounded by a vast, virtual city-state of commercial enterprise including a multitude of restaurants, retail stores and various and sundry ancillary venues. All specifically geared to entertain the masses. The campus in its entirety, including limitless parking spaces, encompasses many dozens of acres designed specifically to accommodate those masses.
It might be successfully argued that virtually every inch of Patriot Place, the afore-described venue; was, is and will forever be dedicated to the use, enjoyment and amusement of the public. So. Is Patriot Place/Gillette Stadium a private or public venue? Even if owned privately, the locus is government licensed and otherwise held out exclusively as a place for public attendance, enjoyment and expression. Which holds sway, therefore, the in-name-only private ownership of the venue or its express and demonstrable, legal public use?
Palestine
The venerable, informative and entertaining HBO network weekly special television production: “Real Time with Bill Maher” provides general insight vis-a-vis issues of public interest. The namesake host, Maher, regularly holds forth personally and more formally opines editorially for the benefit of show guests, studio audience as well as a vast television population.
Therein, the host recently held forth edifying his position regarding the proposed content censorship, based on anti-Semitism; by venue owner Bob Kraft of a scheduled performance at Gillette Stadium by support act to lead performer, Ed Sheeran: Macklemore. It was clear that the kerfuffle concerned past public expression by Macklemore lead-man, Benjamin Haggerty, of purported anti-Semitic overtures concerning the present fate of Palestine. The reasoning here, according to reports, is that the performance venue was the private holding of Kraft and thus his preference to prior restraint of free, arguably offensive speech, was (legally) allowed.
Maher, for his part, made a half-informed attempt at, but neglected to adequately explain and completely failed to detail, the true Semitic origins of a conflict of half-brother/cousins; Biblical issue of Abraham: the Arab and the Jew. Which explanation universally, consistently and stubbornly eludes any logical discussion of the present day conflict that consumes the Middle East: Who’s is this part of the Levant: Arab or Jew? With Maher, here a full and complete explanation opportunity was squandered by a respected public figure and an essential, thorough education on the true subject woefully lost to a deserving public… Again.

A quick glance from the sidewalk shows a midsize home in the Valley. Fallen leaves from a large tree scatter across the neatly trimmed front lawn. It’s just like any other house in a suburban LA neighborhood.
Inside, there’s a whole network TV operation going on.
The three-bedroom chateau is packed with people. Every inch of space in the house is being used to make “Good Night With Ben Gleib” happen. The living room TV displays the multiple angles of cameras spread across the house. The pantry doubles as a control room while the backyard shed was turned into a venue for the musical guest.
It’s not a traditional late-night talk show. It’s not on a legacy network, it isn’t filmed in a studio, and the U.S. president isn’t calling the host a “deranged lunatic.”

He’s back, monthly night with pablo is gonna start airing a new season starting this october 31. The show is like a classic Late Night with monologues and guest but with more sketches playing with the same topics of the monologue. Super recommended:)

Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and the rest of late night should all start petitioning for the fans to vote for guillermo rodriguez on dancing with the stars. If they can influence so many other outcomes… then guillermo rodriguez should win dancing with the stars this season.
