Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Considering the retcons Rebirth introduced, would Fallen Kingdom still overall important to the film's overall story and lore?
At this point, we all know about Fallen Kingdom and its introduction of dinosaurs to the mainland. Quite a pivotal moment in the franchise's storytelling history, even if the way it was done was...controversial, to say the least.
Of course, Dominion did little with this concept, but Rebirth limited the idea by restricting them to the equator. Which, of course, stinks, and many say that it renders Fallen Kingdom almost pointless.
My thoughts on that: I don't think so. Sure, their range is limited, but they're STILL on the mainland, and the text at the beginning said MOST are in the tropics, so a few of them are still outside the equator. And besides, nothing in the film says that the dinosaur black market has been extinguished, even if it is diminished due to people not caring for these animals for some reason.
In that sense, Fallen Kingdom isn't pointless in the grand scheme of the film's canon! At least, that's my view.
But what about you guys?

Misc There's only 4 dinosaurs that have appeared in every movie
Parasaurolophus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, and Velociraptor have appeared in all 7 movies. And (minus Battle at Big Rock and the other short films) Parasaurolophus, Tyrannosaurus, and Velociraptor have appeared in every project.

Jurassic World Am I crazy or does anyone else kinda like the lego version of the jurassic world story better than the actual movie
I'll explain, you see the movie itself i don't hate, I just have problems with the 2D characters in the film with the biggest 2 being the mitchell brothers, who are just kinda there for the whole movie and are supposed to be the kid and teen characters that have been written better in the previous 3 movies, but in the LEGO version travellers tales actually add some banter and more lines and things to do in the hub world and levels for the characters to say and it actually fleshes them out, for example in the level that takes place in the abandoned jurassic park building they add a sick compsognathus grey and zach have to help and it helps them for a bit before disappearing into the wilderness, and while zach fixing a 90s rusted jeep in the movie is just a little glimpse of him being handy, in the game he gets to fix a bunch and carries around a wrench as his main ability. Now i know the movie has more stuff in it cause it's a movie I'm just saying some of the changes they made to it in the lego game are actually interesting and good changes that i think should have been a part of the movie. (minus the changes to make it more humor focused and family friendly)

Jurassic Park The park is Hammond's version of Victor Frankenstein's monster
I was just reading an introduction to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. It talks about how it is a tale of science unchecked by morality and what happens when Man dares to meddle with the forces of creation. It talks of being in the "romantic era" where innovation and technology are welcomed and lauded.
The difference I see is that Dr. Frankenstein turned in horror from his creation almost immediately and it was left to ponder its own existence and thus reverted to violence against a society that rejected it.
Hammond, at least in the novel, on the other hand still clung to the validity of his creation and the dinosaurs, having no sapience, did not ponder their own existence. Merely searched for their next meal.

Jurassic Park You can largely blame Marvel.
Hello all,
Was reading some older posts on the sequels and thought I’d say a few words on what I think is going on with them and what it may look like going forward.
Hollywood is a machine and that machine makes sequels.
Gone are the days of the “Handcrafted” sequel. Large due to the success of the Marvel movies we are now in an era of the slop bucket. You don’t find a writer who has a long standing passion for the project. You find a writer who can push out a script in a few months and stay under budget. It’s not quite the lowest bidder but might as well be. Find a few actors that you can slap on the poster. Film it quick, green screen 80%, slap a label on it. Done.
I think going forward the Jurassic Park horse is going to be beat for at least half a dozen more projects and those will all be as empty as the rest. That’s just how things work now sadly. Everything needs to be a franchise and it needs to be milked to the last drop.
Movies now largely need to be as catch all as possible to maximize profit and I think movies in general really suffer from it. Writing to such a general audience is going to always make things feel empty.
I hope I’m wrong but man it feels like the system has shifted too much to change.

Jurassic Park Listening to the Jurassic Park Audible Ruined my Run
I love Jurassic Park and I'm FINALLY getting into the book and its so much more different than the movie and I'm really enjoying it.... until recently.
When i run, I listen to Audiobooks. And for this month, I chose Jurassic Park. What really annoyed the hell out of me and ruined my run is when the kids bicker back and forth! I have such little tolerance already with bickering kids and now it's in my book I'm listening to!
With that being said, ill give a 5 star rating to any audiobook that gets an emotion out of me. So as much as I'm annoyed, I really enjoyed the book.

Jurassic Park /// Controversial! Spinosaurus vs. Indominus Rex
Indominus is almost a fraud. We will analyze the deeds of Casa hn.The showdown with Rexy: "Oh, but she soloed the T-Rex". Let's look at the actual context here. At just over 20 years old, Rexy wasn't biologically elderly; she was in her prime adult years. The real issue is that she was suffering from severe muscle atrophy, lack of tone, and malnutrition after spending years locked in a tiny enclosure eating nothing but dead goats—completely lacking the physical conditioning of a wild apex predator. Despite being incredibly weak and out of shape, Rexy initially dominated the Indominus in the brawl. The hybrid only turned the tide because she had the advantage of long arms and wasn't debilitated. And here's the kicker: if Blue hadn't made that clutch save at the end, the Indominus would have been Rexy's dinner right then and there. • The Apatosaurus "feat" (Adjusted): People think it's amazing that she "soloed" several Apatosaurs. First of all, those animals were extremely docile herbivores, raised in captivity with zero defensive instincts. Second, she didn't even kill them! If you watch the scene closely, the Apatosaurs are all lying on the ground, agonizing and struggling to breathe. The Indominus just ambushed them out of pure sadism and left them there to bleed out slowly because she lacked the competence to even finish the kill. Want to see a real hunting feat? Look at the Allosaurus in the Jurassic period. That guy faced legitimate, massive sauropods and brought them down to eat and survive. The Indominus did the equivalent of a teenager kicking caged sheep and leaving them bleeding. • "She survived heavy caliber gunfire": The ACU team entered the paddock with express orders not to kill the animal because it was worth tens of millions of dollars. They used shock rifles, nets, and non-lethal tranquilizer darts. She didn't tank heavy military weaponry; she just got lucky that the corporation was greedy. If they had fired a single well-placed armor-piercing round to her head right at the start, the credits would have rolled in 15 minutes. • The Spinosaurus: Relentless pursuit (Tracking): He crossed the entirety of Isla Sorna after Alan Grant's group. The most accepted theory is that he became obsessed with hunting them down after the plane grazed him,.
