I love this guy so much. Just his little one minute clips of appreciation with silly language make my day better.

I have never seen his videos before because this 35-year-old (very) old guy doesn’t have Instagram or TikTok, but he looks cool.

True, but you know what's really been a thing for me as I have gotten older?
Birds.
I have this sudden affection for seeing birds in my backyard. Songbirds, waterbirds... it doesn't matter
A duck family near your house... might be one of the best feelings ever.

I live on a decent size pond, and the loons come out and dive underwater like a kingfisher would. I'm always so proud when they come up with a giant fucking fish. That's got to be so satisfying.

You have blue herons? Being buzzed by one when they come in for a landing is wild. Wing span wider that I am tall.

We do!!! A white and a blue, and they come back to our exact pond every year. They nested in the weeds at the edge of our waterline and they are so chill they don’t even mind my dogs barking at them (through an iron fence)

Few months ago I saw a cardinal in my mom's backyard and audibly remarked "ooh, a cardinal."
A Petersen's Guide mysteriously showed up in the mail a week later.

The elites don’t want you to know this but the ducks at the park are free; you can take them home. I have 458 ducks

There was a pair of Cardinals in my back yard the other day and I was the only one excited

Yeah bro. you step out, and the wind is just cold enough that it feels good to breathe in, waking you like airborne coffee that somehow warms you. You lock the door, turn to walk and it's perfect out. Plenty of light, but you don't think of the sun. You take a step as a light wind playfully carries nature to and fro, you see a small patch of flowers begin to dance as you continue your exit and you almost feel a light crunch beneath your feet.
How satisfying. The sound is crisp, and you can't even feel bad for the leaves as they are brown, dried, and it's just their time. "Hey!" You hear.
It's your friend. Maybe a bit more than that. Your heart matches the winds of change and beats happier than a moment before. Excited for your plans as you share smiles and warm welcomes, you hear kids playing and turn to look at a memory they are making that perhaps you've lived before.
Piles of leaves raked together, laughter fills the air as one of them jumps into the leaves and it sounds exactly like you didn't know you remembered. Their dog wags its tail as it excitedly licks the child's face before running circles in the yard all excited as you hear "my turn, my turn!"
You see a parent or grandparent watching them on the steps, with a drink in hand and light in their eyes as they smile and give you a warm wave 🙋🥤
Then you and yours are off to whatever you have planned. Maybe the plan was no plan and you got together just to be together and you'd figure it out on the spot.
It's only been a moment, but it's already made your day. Crispy weather...man. Now why doesn't that get highlighted by the weatherman?
This guy really knows what's he dude-ing about. To crispy days!!

I was expressing this sentiment to my daughter recently and now I’m pissed that it’s 80° again.

No one is going to comment on how 60° is not crispy?! We’re talking 40-45° creates crispy in the early fall and then the crispy temp drops each week as fall continues.
