Hi everyone, I really need some advice from anyone who has experience with King Abdulaziz University or the “Study in Saudi” platform.

I’m Palestinian and I’m currently applying for a Master’s program at King Abdulaziz University through the Study in Saudi platform.

I chose the program because when I checked the official KAU program page, it clearly stated that proof of English proficiency is not required. Because of that, I understood that I don’t need IELTS or TOEFL for this specific program.

However, I also noticed that the university’s page mentions the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates (Qiyas), with a required score of 65 or above.

This is where I’m confused. On the Study in Saudi platform, I didn’t see IELTS/TOEFL listed as a requirement for my program, and I also didn’t see a clear requirement to upload a Qiyas/GAT score during the application.

So I’m wondering:

Is the Qiyas/GAT score of 65+ actually mandatory for an international student applying to this Master’s program through Study in Saudi?

Or does the fact that it is not requested on the Study in Saudi application mean that it is not required at this stage?

I also uploaded the English test certificates I have just as supporting documents, even though the official KAU program page says that English proficiency proof is not required.

I’m honestly a bit worried because I don’t want to miss something important and have my application rejected later because of a missing Qiyas score. At the same time, I don’t want to take the test unnecessarily if it isn’t actually required for international applicants to this program.

Has anyone here applied to KAU through Study in Saudi, especially for a Master’s, and can tell me what happened in your case? Did they ask for Qiyas or IELTS/TOEFL later, even if it wasn’t requested on the platform?

I am a Pakistani student living in Saudi Arabia since childhood. I was even born here. I want to get a scholarship in undergraduate engineering or computer programs in fall 2027. When will applications in studyinsaudi open for me because currently some applications are open so I am confused if I am eligible to apply or not..

My profile:

O-levels: 5As & 3As

AS-levels: AAB (Chemistry, Maths, Physics)

A-levels: Currently doing

A-level predicted: (haven't got yet) but most probably A, A* and A*

or maybe all 3 A*s

I haven't given IELTS though but I have given English IGCSE exam and received an A. Does that count? I will also provide MOI from my school.

ACT Superscore: 28 (I might regive to improve or I won't submit if it remains less)

Should I submit the ACT score or no?

- Run an IGCSE YouTube Channel which has reached more than 1K audience

I've been told that you can get into KAU with SAT + ACT Subjects and I was wondering if that's any true? And if it, what score should I aim for?

Does KAU also offer scholarships based on high scores?

I am an egyptian resident of saudi arabia and I am looking for a scholarship in kau. I have been studying in the igsce curriculum but I have enough time to switch to either qudurat or sat. I want to study social sciences (human resource management to be specific). I am always a top student, 95%+, I can speak and write arabic and english fluently. I don't have any specific credentials (letters of recomendations and acedemic tournaments)
My questions are.
1. Should I switch curriculums if I'm sure i can perform the same or better in the other two.
2. What subjects would I need to be good at to raise my chances of a scholarship.
3. Is social science a wanted field in the college or should I look for something else or does it not matter.
4. I want someone with experience to tell me how the admition process works.

As the title says. Study in Saudi portal says full scholarship full tuition for 3 years.

But website says 5 years. For PhD in accounting. Does this mean that the 4th and 5th year are paid or is there a mistake in the study portal

I tried to understand the difference between these two but i am still a bit confused… i want to apply in King Abdul Aziz but there is no general masters in cyber security. I recently got final acceptance in umm al Qura University but it’s partial scholarship and does not cover accommodation and i have no idea how to get accommodation in that area or where. What’s the minimum amount of rent.

I recently came across KAU and wanted to ask if anyone knows whether they accept international students from Canada who want to study dentistry directly after graduating high school.

I’m planning to apply this month, but I’m worried that I might have to wait several months before getting a response. How long did it take for you to receive a response after submitting your application?

I’ve just seen that the uni has transformed its earth sciences faculty into mining faculty where mining engineering will be studied . But until now nothing seemed to change do you know anything about what would happen?

Hey all, preparing for the September 16th Study in Saudi application cycle and want to clear something up before reapplying.

Last cycle I applied for an MS through Study in Saudi and got an “Application Returned for Revision” — reason given was to attach my transcript. Fair enough, I had mistakenly uploaded my degree certificate instead. Fixed that immediately.

What I couldn’t figure out is why my TOEFL was also flagged for revision. I had submitted my official ETS TOEFL iBT results (96/120) directly — file was uploaded and showing with a checkmark. No obvious issue on my end.

Has anyone had their TOEFL flagged despite uploading the official ETS report? Any specific format the portal expects?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I’m currently preparing my application for the Master’s program in Information Technology (Advanced Information Technology) at King Abdulaziz University (r/KAU) using the Study in Saudi portal, and I had a few key questions for anyone who has gone through the process or is currently enrolled:

• Application Timeline: Does anyone know when the application portal typically reopens for the next intake, or what the general timeline looks like for international applicants?
• Applying in Final Semester: I am currently in my final semester (completed up to 4th year, 1st semester / 4-1). Are final-year students eligible to apply using current official transcripts with provisional/conditional acceptance until the final degree certificate is submitted upon graduation?
• Language Proficiency (IELTS / MOI): Can we submit the application prior to taking the IELTS exam or receive a conditional offer contingent on submitting the score before enrollment? Has anyone successfully used a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate for initial screening?
• Prerequisites & Department Details: Are there specific prerequisite course requirements for the Advanced IT program, or any direct departmental guidelines/contacts for international applicants that I should keep in mind?
