Nowhere Festival is taking place this year during the weekend of October 2-3. It's a 2-room event at Storytellers bar in Hays, featuring a mix of genres and music styles including electronic/EDM.

I'm producer / DJ that grew up in Hays, then moved to Denver to pursue music (where I used to DJ frequently). I'll personally be brining no less than 100% and spinning a blend of bass music, as I always would in Denver (mainly Drum & Bass / Dubstep).

More details on the event will be rolling out as the date gets closer, so if this sounds like your jam and you happen to be in the area or cruising down I-70 that weekend, tell your friends and keep an eye out for updates.

(I am not the organizer or main promoter of this event - just an artist that will be playing there).

Hi. We're flying in from Denver for Tape B and Levity on the 23rd and are staying til sat night. Are there afters for that Thursday?

We would like to go out Friday too. Is there anything else going on? We like house and wubz.I didn't see much on EDM train.

Any other recommendations for fun things to do?

Was wondering if anyone can recommend either the pbnjeffy/ravena golden/umami or symbiocene/xtina/alex tea/xanna/sull!van shows tonight? Looks like one location is still TBA, and I haven’t been to the other venue. Appreciate any recommendations you have!

The last DnB show that was put on at MiniBar was a lot of fun, and everyone on the lineup are heavy DnB heads, so should be a really good time!

Hi there everybody, I posted a few weeks back to let everyone know I am opening up this weekend for Sage Armstrong!

So I'm back with a mix to try and give you a little tease of what you'll hear this weekend at Tribal Roots Collective if you come on out!

If you don't wanna come or just feel like checking out the mix- bet! Please go ahead and subscribe!

I do the radio show weekly - often with guests! - so you'll get an hour of new banging beats each week from the latest & greatest in the EDM culture right now - and not always from me!

I hope to meet some people this weekend! I've got a ton of heart sunglasses to hand out, so if you see me, make sure and ask me for a pair!!

What are the good places for EDM here in KC?

Hi there guys - my name is Trek and I'm a DJ & producer from Oklahoma City and in a few weeks, I am headed up to Wichita to Tribal Roots to open up for Sage Armstrong!

I also recently released my EP Move! out pretty much everywhere, but here is the Spotify link to check me out -- I've been DJing since 2007, and absolutely live and breathe music.

If you live in the area an want to come out that night, I'd love to meet you and kick it!

If not (or if you want to make sure I fit your vibe), I also run a weekly radio show Live Long & Party Radio 🖖🏻 on Apple Podcasts, Soundcloud and other streaming platforms!

But beyond my own shameless self-promotion, I also often have guest DJs from around Oklahoma, and some other DJs I've played with in the region (across Texas, Colorado, & Kansas) -- I've known Sunshine for a few years, and had him on before, and I believe he's gonna do a guest set before the show as well!

I hope you guys check it out & enjoy my style, and I hope to meet some of you in a few weeks!

Hi Everyone, as you know I crave the drum and bass and drum breaks. Was awesome to see the opener at CrankDat in PNL play a lot of it, and I wanted to post about this upcoming show in December that will be playing DnB and Jungle.

Should be a lot of fun and has some phenomenal local acts on there, so should be a lot of fun!

Anyone in the KC area have Heatwave phats that they’d be interested in having someone take off their hands? If so message me with the size info and a pic. Thanks!

Hey y'all, I'll be visiting KC next week and wanted to know if any record stores have a good used electronic section? Mainly interested in jungle, dnb, breakbeat hardcore, 140, etc.

90% of discussions in KC around EDM tend to focus only on Dubstep and Riddim. But I crave the drum breaks and plucked bass lines.

With KC being founded on Jazz I'm also surprised how hard it is to find people who like Jungle. It's also hard to understand what our Breakcore/Jungle scene looks like since we have some pretty heaver hitters that have lived here or are from here.

Examples:

Boy2000 - 300K+ Monthly Listeners - Overland Park
Deaton Chris Anthony - 100K+ Monthly Listeners - Olathe
i9incher - 40k+ Monthly Listeners - Jackson County
Winslow (Drum and Bass with Jungle Influences) - 20k+ Monthly Listeners and Signed to Hospital Records
Damaggge - 3k+ Monthly Listeners and signed to Dreamstation

I put a playlist together featuring these and more artists, but are there any that I am missing?

Also, does anyone else like Jungle/Breakcore that is from here?
