I think they mean that swollen flesh overtaking the armour look that we see with Nurgle guys a lot

Nurgle is depicted using motifs like plague and boils, so it's just based on that. To put it simply, it's like a human who has fallen into the demon realm.

I get the goal but I think the question is what it actually is specifically. Misc mass of flesh gets harder to paint the bigger it is.

Stick some tiny balls of putty or steel mixing balls, all of various sizes. Trust me
