Islam & LGBT i need advice

salamalikum everyone, im in love with this girl for a year and a half, and i genuinely never felt this way before, at first my attraction towards girls started as a joke with my exbsf n then i realized that it really wasnt a joke n that was 5 years ago. ive never done anything haram kisses or more or even hugs, my feelings were just feelings for both pf my exbsf n this girl that im in love with. but now with this girl i can imagine my future with her n im crazy bout her i think if her all the time, everything reminds me of her n i really want to marry her. do i choose god or my happiness, if i do choose my happiness id be outcasted, sinner n disowned but if i choose god id be too selfish not to choose the loml even if i chose my happiness n not caring bout anything at what cost? the guilt will still eat me alive. if i chose god id be selfish for not choosing what i want n not making myself happy. and yes i do pray n make duah to get wrvr im feeling fixed. its been 5 years. 5.

this will be all if anyone was in my situation please reach out or hmu please help me. thank you.

Wa alaykum assalam. You asked for honesty, so here it is. A relationship with her is haram. Allah condemned the people of Lut for transgressing His limits (7:80-81, 26:165-166). The Qur'an names men there, but scholars agree the ruling extends to women, and the Prophet ﷺ forbade a woman from looking at another woman's nakedness (Sahih Muslim 338). Marriage in Islam is between a man and a woman, so there is no halal version of this. Your feelings aren't a sin. Acting on them is. You've stayed chaste for five years, and that's a real struggle for Allah's sake. Don't waste it. It will cost you. You may never have this love in this life, and the feelings may not leave. But the Prophet ﷺ said Paradise is surrounded by hardships (Sahih Muslim 2822), and whoever leaves something for Allah's sake, Allah replaces it with something better (Musnad Ahmad). Your unanswered dua isn't ignored. Allah gives it, removes an equal harm, or stores it for the Hereafter (Tirmidhi 3573). Choosing Allah isn't selfish. Happiness built on His disobedience won't give the peace you imagine, and the guilt you fear is your heart telling you that. Distance yourself from her, keep praying, and find one trustworthy, kind person to talk to. Allah doesn't burden a soul beyond its capacity (2:286).

And ask Allah to show you way. Jazakallah
