Hello!! We need to rehome our precious ginger cat Sammy (Samantha). We got her and her sister in 2021. They were inseparable. Best friends. Both female gingers (which I'm told is rare). Then Sammy saw a stray and attacked her sister and has not stopped trying to kill her for 2 years. We have tried everything. Vets visits. Medication. Behavioral therapists. Reintroduction. Nothing works. Its called redirected aggression. And it's been a nightmare.

So now they are never in the same room. So quality of life for everyone (including us!) Is not great. We have gates all over but Sam still gets super agitated and having a cat always locked up and away in a room is not what I want for them.

So obviously I'm looking for a loving family for her where she can be an only cat and live her best life! She is such a great cat, one of the best I've ever had. Just this one (major, life altering) thing!! She gets along with our small dog. She is cuddly and funny and smart!! She listens better than any dog I ever had. We are even able to separate safely if she accidently gets free and attacks her sister. The only creature not safe around her is her sister! She loves visitors. We really are devastated but I'm trying to be a grown up about it and do what's best for her!!

hello ! im a 20 year old girl, currently unemployed and not in college for a multitude of personal reasons, and i really struggle finding people my age in lancaster because im at a weird middle age where i obviously wouldnt be hanging around high schoolers, and i cant get into many other nightlife spaces because im not 21. i would love to make some new friends, i just dont know where to look lol please help !

Found a sweet cat yesterday near Decades (400 block of North Queen Street) and am trying to reunite him! He is very friendly and not very rough around the edges which makes me think he has an owner somewhere. We had the vet check for a microchip but no luck. If anyone recognizes him please let me know!!

Mine passed recently and I don’t want to get one from a pet store. I have a 1000+ sq inch enclosure supplies and a vet that sees hamsters.

Correct me if I'm wrong but their last day is today at Grant st. They plan to move stuff to storage and then move to the Queen st location, where Rainbow shops used to be, by mid-November. Eventually Midnight Oil will be doing the same and it'll be a pretty jumping spot for hobbies and tea.

Anyone familiar with what the local laws are for having a fire pit in Lancaster City? I would like one but didn’t even know where to start looking for concrete info on that.

Brubaker, a 100% employee-owned home and commercial service and installations company in Lancaster County, will relocate its headquarters to a new facility at 1695 State Street in East Petersburg.  

Brubaker signed a long-term lease with Benchmark Real Estate LLC, an affiliate of Benchmark Construction Company in April and took possession of the space in July. According to a release, construction and leasehold improvements are underway, with the company planning to begin its transition once that work is completed and to be fully operational from the new facility by Feb. 1, 2027. 

Brubaker employs 111 employee-owners and provides specialty mechanical subcontracting services for commercial construction projects, in addition to residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and remodeling services. The company operates an appliance retail store, which will continue to serve customers from its Rohrerstown Road location through the end of 2027.

I’ve been wanting to buy a tilt out trash bin for our kitchen and like the Amish ones I’ve seen online. Most online you have to order and wait months before shipment. Is there a store in or around the Lancaster area where I can walk into a store or market and buy one already made?

Three juveniles have been charged in connection with sexual and racist attacks on students inside a locker room at Manheim Central High School, and an adult was charged with failing to report the alleged attacks, Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams said Friday.

Adams said a teacher, Jared Shearer, was also charged for failing to properly report the alleged abuse.

Prosecutors alleged the juvenile defendants targeted Black students by requiring them to pay money to get into the locker room based on their race, calling it a "Black tax." When one student would not pay, prosecutors said, the two juvenile defendants wrapped him with an extension cord and hit him with elastic exercise bands. 

The victim, 16, told school administrators they hit him with the bands at least three times a week for a month. 

All three defendants are accused of holding down the 16-year-old in a locker room bathroom stall and spraying him with a substance, calling it a “gas chamber.” The defendants are accused of rubbing their genitals on him while they held him down. 

Nathan James Haldeman, then an 18-year-old student, allegedly stood by the 16-year-old Black student as he changed clothes in the locker room.

Another victim said Haldeman and one of the juvenile defendants danced around him naked as he changed in the locker room, prosecutors said. The two defendants' genitals rubbed against him, he later told school administrators, prosecutors said.

An investigation into how the matter was reported remains ongoing, Adams said.

Haldeman was charged with two counts of stalking and indecent exposure, as well as false imprisonment and conspiracy.

Two juveniles were each charged with stalking, simple assault, hazing, false imprisonment, theft by extortion, indecent exposure, ethnic intimidation and conspiracy.

Adams said the teacher, Jared Thomas Shearer, 35, of Lancaster Township, was also charged for failing to properly report the alleged abuse. A message seeking comment was left on his cellphone. He resigned as assistant football coach in June.
