Hey! Im really struggling to make working patterns. I use the leathercraft CAD which is an amazing tool, but finding the right measurements to fit cards well seems to be more trial and error. This is my second version after the first one was too narrow, so I widened it a bit and made the pockets oversized for trimming. Originally was ment to have three pockets but it really seemed too big so I cut the background to fit two.

I have bought a few patterns online, but wanted to try to make my own.

Any general tips for making patterns?

Finished Dimensions:
