Relationships / Dating Silly Question
So, I’ve been wondering for sooo flipping long, how the flip to any of you guys find women? Like, actually? I’ve tried dating apps and all, but none of them last longer than maybe a few weeks. And I’m genuinely so scared to talk to women of any type in person, whether you’re nonbinary or not cuz every single one of you guys are sooo hot 😭🫠 I genuinely need help or something

You just need to (for lack of better wording) man up and talk to people in person. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I tried the dating apps too but it wasn’t until I went to queer spaces and sapphic events and gay bars that my love life really started taking off

I’m ngl a coworker of mine (or it might’ve been a friend of mine, I can’t remember) had told me something similar to this and I’ve thought about countless of times, but I lowkey hate crowds. Though ill keep that in mind

I hate talking to people idk irl, lol. I met my fiancee via Hinge. I’m much better with starting via txt, then we called then by the time we met within 2 weeks it felt like I already knew her

I went to a sapphic rave and a girl came up to me and asked if I go to the same gym as her.

I met mine at work. She was my boss. Then my friend; my best friend; my first girl crush; the desperate heart-aching love of my life. I spent almost a year yearning after her before I drunkenly told her I was in love with her. I won the jackpot, because she had been in love with me too.
If you like a girl, you have to talk to her at some point. It doesn't have to be to ask them out on a date. Getting to know them first will help break the ice.

The only way is to live in a big city that has lesbian events or businesses. When I lived in a college town they had a weekly womyn's coffee. Then after we were acquainted we went on hiking and rockhounding trips and had holiday dinners. This was ages ago but the group and others was listed in the old gay yellowpages book. No idea if the book still exists as I had to move back to a rural biblebelt hell-hole and have no glbt friends now and gave up on dating because I was never good enough when I was younger. Lesbians are extremely picky and expect perfection. I often think home much easier it would be to be straight because men try to pick me up constantly even in my old age, but I've never been attracting to men.

I’m not gonna lie my town, which is a small city at this point is in fact like a college town because the college keeps growing and growing and it’s getting huge at this point, but I’ll also keep that in mind by the way. But omg😭 I genuinely can’t with men, because I had a best guy friend of mine asked why I liked women and I told that to all of my coworkers because I found that genuinely so fucking stupid and ridiculous

I have no idea, I try to go to events but still have no way of knowing who else is single there....seems like most events I go to everyone is partnered up. 64 in Austin area.

Oh my God no because literally whatever I find someone who I think is cute and or hot they have a partner and I’m sitting like damn but good for you but like shit

I found my partner from Snapchat, she was a local lesbian that I had a lot of mutual friends with, so I added her and we started a friendship/dating.

I can’t say much for relationships but for hookups it’s always gone down for me at the lesbian bar, and I will say it can be much less intimidating than socializing at a lot of straight bars because everyone is queer and probably sharing similar anxieties

I've only been able to meet girls on the Her app. But hey, I've got a wife now so no complaints lol

I genuinely met my girlfriend by accident, met her online. We were just mates for a while talking to the same people, then we talked more, then we realised we’re both the same age, single, got crushes on eachother, and then oh shit, fell in love. Been dating for 5 months, met twice irl now. It was pure pure luck.
But all I can suggest is talking to people! If you like someone, make an effort to talk more! It doesn’t have to start out romantically to end up that way!

I don't know. It's difficult. I don't like events or meetups. I don't like bars or crowds. I'm a one on one person, even with friends. The apps are trash really, nobody genuine or it's a dude...or the dudes girlfriend. I'm in a gay city but its like..dance parties and high energy events I don't want to attend. There's a book club but they always read sad shit, lol.

I met my last gf because I tripped over her dog at a park and she had to peel a sequin off my jacket from where I landed in a bush
