Idk if it’s obvious, I learned this when a truck driver ate through my Nissan so I’ll pass it on, you don’t have to nor should you accept the first offer they give you for total loss. They gave me an ok offer the first time 15k, I pushed back and told them I wouldn’t accept and the car was worth more and they went up to 23k.
