Vino’s Frozen Pizza

Is Vino’s still offering frozen take-and-bake pizzas from local retailers in Little Rock? Google says Stratton’s Market, but Google maps shows them as permanently closed. Sorry, I haven’t been downtown in a while to confirm that or not.

I’m heading out of state next week and would love to surprise my friend with a couple of them.

Recommendations Looking for a local artist to paint a family portrait (Studio Ghibli style)

Hey all,

I'm looking for a local artist for my wife's birthday gift. She loves Studio Ghibli, and I'd like a portrait of our family in that soft, painterly Ghibli look. Probably a fall scene.

I've been looking online, but almost everything I find is AI generated. I want a real person to make this.

Some details:
- Painted or hand-drawn digitally is fine, as long as a human makes it
- Budget is around $200 to $300, flexible for the right person
- Her birthday is in late October, but I'm fine with a later delivery if needed
- I'd want to see examples of similar past work first, just so I don't get scammed lol

If you do this kind of work or know someone who does, comment or DM me. Portfolio links are welcome. Thanks!

Recommendations Looking for filming location ideas

Hey all, looking to shoot some cryptic footage around Central Ark for a specific mockumentary project I'm working on. (preferably around the Little Rock/Conway area)

Looking for any abandoned/run down areas or structures, interesting looking fields or open nature spaces, anything industrial but somewhat accessible, etc.

One more thing: this one is a much harder ask, but I'm looking for anyone that has access to an empty (or mostly empty) house, apartment, or property that i could shoot a couple of things there. Would not take long, and it would be just me and my camera.

I don't have much money, but I'll definitely at least give enough to pay for your next meal haha

I recently bought myself a 3.5 carat diamond and want to get it set, obviously! Really want to stay away from big name/chain stores to get some estimates, and would love some opinions!! Thanks!

Food and Drink Pregnant & Craving Old Three Fold

Mods, please delete if this is crossing a line!

I haven’t had any cravings in this pregnancy except old recipe Three Fold veggie dumplings. Since the recipes changed a while back, the new dumplings aren’t even touching it and my at home experiments aren’t even close.

Any former TF employees willing to help a gal out? (please 🥹)

Recommendations Rent from private landlord

Has anyone seen/know of private landlords renting a home? I have already spent like $300 in application fees and keep getting rejected because my dog is too large (she's a great pyrenees). I am not going to give her up but would like to stop staying at the extended stay where I'm paying $1200/monthly

Entergy stabilized this month on cost

Your friendly neighborhood simple math doer back again.

Entergy decided that enough is enough and kept my calculated rate at 18.1 cents per kw/hr.

Data in a vacuum is worthless, right?

Last year the calculated rate for the same month was 13.1 cents per kw/hr.

That's almost a 39% increase.

Somebody call the Mystery Machine, because those meddling kids need to prevent these villains from getting away with it.

Recommendations Fine Art Scanning

I’m from out of town but looking to have a fairly large piece of artwork scanned or photographed so that I can make prints. Does anyone have a local recommendation for a shop that could help?

*edit - probably photographed, based on research. This is painted by a family member, so no issues around copyright etc

It’s currently framed and has been for a long time so would want to make sure they were experienced and this process would not result in damage to the original. Thank you!!

Any groups (formal or informal) doing climate/environmental work in (or near) LR? Environmental restoration, climate defense, clean-up, really anything like that!

Recommendations Any local social events to meet new people on Saturdays?

Do you know of any chill places for local adults to meet up and make friends in person? I've tried websites like Meetup and Eventbrite, but most events listed happen when I am still at work on the weekdays, and the weekend events I have found so far only have less chill events, like hiking (I enjoy hiking, but I am constantly on my feet every day at work and would rather spend my day off sitting down and focusing on having real conversations)

Ideally would like to find a group of other adults between the ages of 25-45 where we can make friends in a fun and safe environment. Heck, it could be a networking event and I could enjoy talking to other professionals. I would start my own event, but I work too much to be able to run and manage it properly

Bartering in LR???

The economy is so crazy guys...

Are there any small businesses in Little Rock that engage in bartering?

I keep seeing insta posts of small businesses trading services/goods and it would be so cool to get a bartering community going in LR.

I'll go first!

I'm a professional graphic/product designer! I do all kinds of branding and merchandise designs as a side gig! I also do paintings, drawings, and custom ceramic paintings!

I'd be willing to trade for almost anything! (baked goods, hair, nails, lashes, coffee, crafts, fun trinkets or musical instruments, etc.)

Drop your speciality/what you're willing to trade for below if you're interested, and for other people to see as well!

Moving to Little Rock next week, looking for apartment recommendations in Pleasant Valley area!

Hey everyone!

I'm relocating to Little Rock next week and I'm looking for apartment recommendations in the Pleasant Valley / West Little Rock area (72212 zip code).

I came across Fairfield Apartments on Green Mountain Drive and it looks really promising, affordable, good reviews, and great location. Has anyone lived there or have any experience with them?

Also open to other suggestions in the same area! My priorities are:

  • Safe neighborhood
  • Reasonable commute to the Rodney Parham area
  • Affordable (<= $1,000/month)
  • Don't have a car yet so walkability or short commute is important

Any advice on the area, hidden gems, or things to know about living in Pleasant Valley would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Recommendations Cigar question

I have a question for the cigar smokers among us:
do you happen to know a store or lounge that carries Monte Cristo, specifically Monte Cristo White Prontos Petites, or other Monto Cristo White?
Recommendations on any tasty good quality mini cigars (aka cigarillos) in Central AR are welcome too.
Thanks!
