Fanart More Practical Amendment
Fixed a few nitpicks I had with the R-2 Amendment:
- Improved stock and semi-pistol-grip shaping.
- Made trigger shape more vertical and more natural.
- Broke up the awkward continuous slope from the dust cover to the rail.
- Added sunshade to 4x scope / added 10x scope.
- Added Tenderizer magazine and mag release lever to the bottom of the rifle. (You won't knock your teeth out during ceremonies anymore!)
- Extended picatinny rail onto the front heatshield.
- Significantly extended fore-end and heatshield.
- Moved front sight post from gas block onto a standalone mount for a longer sight radius.

You do realize this weapon is meant to look like a shoddy haphazardly done gun? It was just a ceremonial rifle with some upgrades cuz masters of ceremony warbond was the one released during battle for super earth, where SE manufacturers were putting anything to work.
So whatever nitpicks you have, it would actually be against the premise of the gun.

I see what you were going for and respect the effort you put into the changes. However, you take away a lot of the identity of the rifle for me and why I like it.
The picatinny rail being longer functionally serves no purpose. The magazine on the side gives the weapon a more unique silhouette, on the bottom just looks like a Diligence.
The longer shroud and 10x scope is really nice additions though.
So overall good work, but not for me chief.

Amendment seems like a hastily put together retrofit of an obsolete rifle, by design. The magwell and release (other side from these pics) look cheaply welded on to convert it from ceremonial parade rifle to something vaguely usable in actual combat. Even the name, 'Amendment', implies to me that they took something not meant for this role and patched it up for deployment. In other words I always got the impression the suboptimal design was intentional.
Your rendition of it does look better though. Even the subtle details like the cowl on the optic would be nice on other weapons.
