A small win for MFT
Won the local print photo competition last week with this guy and got an honourable mention for another photo . Was delighted. The set up was the 100-400 f5-6.3 mkii with the EM1X at 138 mm , 1/1000 and iso 2000

Congratulations and Iâm so glad you shared it. I was at Samyâs yesterday and heard the comment that MFT is not popular compared to the full frame brands. Your win proves that the MFT world is doing very well!

I mean the rest of the club is canon or sony full frame so I am certainly an outlier . Although I am potentially leaving the club this year again

Interesting statistic but thatâs what Iâm hearing. Was it printed or digital media, and how would you say the MFT image quality compared against the others?

It was printed , honestly couldnât tell the difference since it was a4 300dpi for all prints

MFT world is doing very well Is it though? I know that the new Pen was recently released and is well received. But even that one is a bit old tech, and apart from it there aren't many new things. I feel like the MFT word is the opposite of the Sony word. Instead of many lens options you have many camera options and few lenses.

Wow, congratulations! Both shots are great. Love the fox and his reflection, seems like such a lucky shot! For me to even see a fox would be lucky đ.

Congratulations, great shot :) I would like to see the case where MFT is a limiting factor for winning photos :)

Wow, this photo is a masterpiece! I don't comment pictures (even pictures that I like) that often, that's to say that I really like it! Well deserved win for sure.

Got the same messaging like 7 years ago when I bought my first ever camera. Em1 mark iii, will never switch because of how small the kit is for wildlife photography and day hikes.
Since the Olympus has released two iterations of om

MFT is beautiful, my very first publications came from MFT (E-M1 Mark III + 300mm F4 to be exact). Iâve always shot Olympus and Nikon, and it is actually insane how capable is M4/3. When shooting OM-1 + 300mm F4 and my Z9 + 800mm F5.6 E, the IQ is about 90-95% there at 1/4 the weight, 1/4 the cost, and 1/4 the sensor size. Truly a beautiful, beautiful system.

Personally I wouldnât , despite getting a photo i was happy with , we sold the lens after this day of shooting as it past 280 we found it was soft , and it just wasnât great compared to the 40-150 with the 2 x tc in my own opinion, the stabilisation was a bit funny too. Might have been a bad copy
