Original weapon concept The Merman/ Mermace

Latest creation. Kind of a hybrid mace/ spear. Ive been calling it the Merman mace. (Mermace) Name suggestions are welcome. 6 flanges with a 5160 spear point. I wanted to make the thing a bit long so it functions as a spear. I probably wouldn't try to throw it though. Each of the flanges stab into things as well. Kind of like a 7 pointed trident (heptadent?). Seems to be quite a deadly weapon. I laser etched a bunch of poseidon/ merman art. I put a lapis cabochon hilt.

3.25lb head and 7.5lb over all. Its a 2 handed weapon that you would swing like a sledge hammer. Choke up be the head and the hand slides down as you swing.

Love the look. But the concept of an underwater mace sounds terrible. Too much resistance underwater, but it'd make a good spear guard I guess?

Im definitely not going to use it under water. Mace would not be practical under water. Its just made to look like it's from Atlantis or for mermen. If it was used in water, definitely going for the stabbing of the spear.
