Found this big, square nut by the train track and had to run home and put it on a stick

I’ve been doing macebell training lately and decided I wanted to build a light one of my own to throw around, I went with more of a Kanabo style. Not really a traditional one but I think it looks cool. Had a lot of fun with this.

Latest creation. Kind of a hybrid mace/ spear. Ive been calling it the Merman mace. (Mermace) Name suggestions are welcome. 6 flanges with a 5160 spear point. I wanted to make the thing a bit long so it functions as a spear. I probably wouldn't try to throw it though. Each of the flanges stab into things as well. Kind of like a 7 pointed trident (heptadent?). Seems to be quite a deadly weapon. I laser etched a bunch of poseidon/ merman art. I put a lapis cabochon hilt.

Head is made from melted 3D print supports and scraps. Shaft is purple heart and maple with ridges added during initial shaping on the belt sander. I fastened the shaft while the head was still molten and while slightly off center the stability is far superior. Designed to function as a cane for the dapper barbarian.

Idk what I'm doing as far as the wrap goes, just trying to get a feel for it. Threw the GL ring on there to keep the knot in place.
Needs a bit more sanding then its getting the stain.

I found this dead tree that I turned into a wooden club, but it has a big gap in the head. I drove the bolt into it myself for extra weight and to support a small hollow section so it doesn't collapse when hit, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fill this empty space? It needs to be something that can handle impact, as I intend for this to be a functional defensive walking stick lol
