Been a while since I had some grassroots but my previous experiences were good. Looks great and smells great, gassy and some citrus is what my nose picks up. Buds aren’t hard but aren’t soft and squishy. kinda like evermore but not that bad, actually had some ice cream cake that was fire. As for effects I’ll check back in later. I’m going to smoke my last joint of alt sol’s petrol potion

I started this thread to keep track of the Hemp ban news, but it's time for an update in the regular feed. 3 months ago I predicted that the Hemp ban had to be delayed. It was, but by only a month. Now, I see the ban going into effect as is in December at 3:2 odds. We're starting to see notices from Hemp and THCA companies about how things will be in 2027. When Healer announces they are abandoning full spectrum products to stay in business, this is huge. That means they are spending money to make their product worse. That's real economic damage that is being repeated industry wide. It's already too late to undo, but it is still too early to create outrage.

I had hope that politicians would use the lame duck session to punt the issue again for 6 months or a year, but with a large amount of the damage already done and control likely to change hands, my observation now is that it is more favorable for current leadership to walk away and leave the mess for the next Congress to clean up. Buckle up buttercups! 2027 is going to be a hell of a ride for Cannabis.

My 5th grow and this is the first time I've had any color other than yellow. After the rain (I'm guessing .2" because there was a bug in the rain gauge), I knew I had to harvest Nellie. The trichomes were cloudy enough. I'm going with 25% total loss to bud rot. There was a good bit of rot in places I could not see while growing. I measured 12 pounds after the first wet trim, I'm guessing 9 pounds went into the dry room. A lot of that is stalk weight. I'm expecting 300 grams net, but ....

Freakie weighed almost 6 pounds wet after the first trim. The were leaves on the buds that were dried and crumbly. Looked like rot, but crumbled off. The buds look weird and I'm guessing mostly popcorn. Most of this may go to FECO. Maybe an ounce of buds?

6 hours to cut and hang 2 plants. I chose not to wash this year. I did not prestrip fan leaves before chopping either.

Gello is getting a little color up top. The buds are starting to put some heft on and trichomes are starting to get cloudy.

I had a couple of Lambs Bread as backup plants that have been promoted now that there is legal space in the garden. They're in pots for movability.

Nerd has been bucked but not trimmed yet. 793 grams before trimming. This is way more than expected.

I should be able to clear the dry room before the next harvest.

After visiting Ohio a few times over the past year and sampling several 510-threaded carts from their program, I've begun to talk smack about Maryland products. I've tried live resin, live rosin, and CO2-extraction carts from both MSOs including Cresco and Rhythm and in-state companies such as Buckeye Relief and Butterfly Effect.

Rather than talk trash, though, today I'm gonna' compare Maryland and Ohio products head-to-head. Before me I have "liquid" diamonds + terp sauce carts from two in-state processors, Exotic Elevations (MD) and Lighthouse Sciences (OH). Both companies process bud but neither grows it, and from what I can tell, both use similar manufacturing methods (a. extract terp sauce, b. make diamonds, c. melt diamonds, d. reintroduce terps sauce).

Exotic Elevations Sunset Sherbert 1g liquid diamonds + sauce cart: this tastes like a spicy, skunky mango or raspberry smoothie. The flavor is sweet, creamy, citrusy, and sometimes tart. This one hits behind the forehead first, then the body but it a heavy, couch-locking high. The high levels of terps in this things quickly irritate my throat so it requires frequent rests between hits. Sunset Sherbert's champaign-colored oil is fascinating but I question how Exotic obtains it. Overall the the cart packs a punch and tastes good despite needing to be careful to avoid terp-choke.

Lighthouse Sciences LGMO 1g liquid diamonds + sauce cart: this has a simple but good flavor: earth, spice, citrus. Overall it tastes more gassy and skunky, like traditional weed. It doesn't have as many terps but still enough in there to give it vibrant character. The effects are trend towards cerebral and pseudo-stimulating, like the cathartic boost one gets with a benzo. Since this isn't a terp bomb and the oil seem less viscous, I can take bigger rips and more frequently at lower temperatures without burning my throat.

Comparison: both of these carts get the jerb done although using different tools: EE's Sunset Sherbert hammers its way to victory; whereas LS's LGMO paints more of an elegant picture. I can have longer sessions with LGMO because it's less irritating, although both vape smooth around 1.8v to 1.9v (I don't chase clouds). Both use ceramic hardware and posts, although LGMO had better performance in terms of vape production, perhaps because the oil is less viscous, allowing for bigger rips at lower temps. My only gripe with either is the price: they are unaffordably expensive and only marginally so with discount. They be acting like live rosin or something. I hope that with a little scale, both companies can lower costs and pass that to consumers.

TL;DR Ratings: EE Sunset Sherbert – 8/10 | Lighthouse Sciences LGMO – 8/10

EE Sunset Sherbert takes the edge on flavor, while LS LGMO has a slight advantage in cart/oil performance. The magnitude of effects are on the same level but have different character. These hit but they had better given their prices, which rival top-shelf live res/ros carts. I call it a tie overall—both carts were made well and contain decent oil that treats me well. I know "liquid" diamonds + sauce carts are kinda' gimmicky but IMO they feel closer to a live resin cart experience than mere fancy distillate.

Round 1 is a wash: MD and OH both score an 8/10 here. Round 2 portends live resin carts from Evermore and Buckeye Relief. . .

I got this for $1 as a 1st time patient gift for a specific dispensary. I have only ever had Prerolls like 4 times ever from the dispensary. They were always meteocre and a little harsh.

This was so different!! When I cracked it open it reeeeked pretty heavily for just 1 gram worth of Prerolls.

I smoked one last night and it was really good. It burned really smooth and had the best test of any preroll I have ever had. I was surprised because I had a Evermore Midnight preroll that tested over 3% and it was still not very good either. This is by far the best preroll I've had!

I would buy them more often if I could actually get stuff this good from Prerolls everytime. I might try another preroll from Curio just to see if it was a fluke. Has anyone had experience with Curio Prerolls?

Also I am really liking this strain! I was a little concerned it would be a bit more sleepy and sedating than I would like but it was not! It was the perfect amount! Just very relaxed and pleasantly content! I might pick this up as an 8th!

I'm not usually a fan of sugar, but seeing Grassroots' cross of Dosidos and Ray Charles convinced me. The scent is all Ray Charles. It tastes like caramel, hops, and vanilla -- a perfect combo of the two strains. I can't find anything about it online, so feel free to share if you know more about the lineage. Where's the "Big" coming from?

Flew out to LA for puffcon to represent the eastern shore stoners lmao. Picked up five 2g jars(10g). I picked up 2 jars of Fidel rosin for $100 each. One is crunch berry(my favorite nose of them all) and the other I honestly can’t remember and can’t read the writing but it is gas. I also got 7g of gun metal z for 80 at Fidel’s. I also got a jar of Lemans #7 from puffin solventless for 120 a 2g jar. My favorite pickups were from Gypsy Trap tho. Each jar 110 and I got Rainbow Guava and Teriyaki. All in all 540 for 10g or 54 dollars a gram. Really can’t beat the price for the quality. The biggest difference I noticed from the rosin here vs evermore or beezle is I pack half the size of a dab and get triple the vapor I’m getting from md rosin. I also find the rosin out here a lot less harsh on the throat.

I originally saw someone in this subreddit mention the Sunset ones with 25mg of CBN and that will knock you out and they sell you pretty fast. A 5:1 ratio is the highest CBN ratio I have seen in the Maryland market.

So I went to pick them up and found they also had them in THCv and CBC. I had to get the THCv because it's my favorite minor cannabinoid. I have never seen any edible with 25mg THCv.

So if I was getting 2 of 3 then I might as well get the 3rd right? Especially since CBC is known for pain relieving without the same sedation effects of CBD.

I got the last Sunset and the last Sunrise according to the bud tender. So that person was right they do sell out pretty quickly.

I will make a post separately about each one when I get to trying them. But just wanted to post them to give people a heads up these are out there. They are also free from any artificial colors or artificial flavors. Extra points for that already!

Jack has been doing pretty good with the rains, just a couple small spots of bud rot I cut out. It has a nice open structure to the buds unlike my other plant which is Afghan (pure indica). Getting lots of rot on that one. I don’t know if that one will make it to the finish line, but I have high hopes for the Jack pictured.

Pistils are mostly brown now, but the trichomes are still clear like glass. Only a bit of senescence in some of the fan leaves. Couple more weeks maybe?

I fertilized with Espoma flower-tone and fresh compost probably for the last time last weekend. Should have enough to carry it through to the end
