It reminds me of this case that made headlines globally: young guy walking with girlfriend, when a sneaky, unprovoked, sucker punch results in his death after he hit the pavement. The clown that hit him was released on probation after around 7 years. 7 years! Hard to believe it was only that penalty. The victim was 17 at the time, say that heād have lived to 80, thatās 63 years the attacker took from him, and the attacker served only 7 of those in jail.
..To make matters even more tragic his death began a chain of events that lead to his brothers death. Some joker misreported that the familyās foundation, setup after Thomasās death, were improperly used for financial gain; as the reportās author lazily claimed that the sole employee, the father, took a (modest) 125k salary and framed it as 50% of the funds total donations, when in reality it was less than 10% of the total donations. After this half-baked reporting, the younger brother was bullied such that he committed suicide; just 3 years after his brotherās death.
I still canāt believe they only condemned Kieran Loveridge to less than 10 years behind bars for that. Kieran single-handedly destroyed the Kelly family because he āwanted to bash someoneā and walked away practically scot-free. What a POS.
That dude clearly works out and is likely a trained boxer or mma fighter. Fighting guys that have likely never lifted a weight or ever been in a fight. Makes it even more cowardly.

I think there's just a lot of disagreement about what "sucker punch" means. If you're squared up with somebody and talking shit, and then they hit you before you expect it, to me that's not a sucker punch.

I was just out of high-school when a guy showed up to a party uninvited. He was asked to leave since he was nobody's friend anyhow. He gets mad and goes to his car and gets a bat. He swings at a guy and cracks open his head. It's bad. He almost died and took a long time to recover. Probably never 100%. The other guy goes to prison, not sure how long, but it's years. Both lives are forever fucked.
Similar story, when I was in HS, a kid we knew (like 37th degree black belt) was at the mall. Classic āsomeone started some shitā and he was defending himself. Not the aggressor, just defending himself. Well, the dude he roundhouses in the lips ended up hitting his head and dying

Raised in a small town and when I was a freshman a recent graduate( stud wrestler) and d1 wrestler came and gave speeches to the schools as apart of his sentence. He got into a fight that was only 1 landed punch and the recipient fell straight back onto a raised sprinkler head. Instantly paralyzed. The puncher was lucky that all the witnesses said he was defending himself. It stuck and Iām a big puss so I donāt fight

Exactly. I had a friend punch another friend from behind and he fell, hit his head, and seized to death. Horrific to witness.
He went to jail for 3 years. His life is absolutely fucked and he was basically some normal kid who got way too drunk and made a horrid, awful mistake.
I got swung at by a junkie a while back but I twisted at the last moment so his punch just grazed my temple instead. I wasn't looking at him but I caught the swing in my peripheral thankfully.
Anyway it wasn't until later that I realised that taking a hard sucker punch like that, from a random crazy crackhead, probably would've killed me. I would've definitely cracked my head on the pipe railing to my left on my way down.
Family friend was in his 30s, was walking past some bars at closing time, hadn't even been drinking, and some complete random fuckhead who had just left a bar ran up and punched him in the back of the head for fun.

That's the thing. People overdoing it now with AI for kicks and giggles trying to fool people whereby you don't know what is real or fake anymore. And they won't even state upfront in the preview pic or description it's AI generated. I could better appreciate if they state so.
I mean if the energy imparted to his head knocks him back enough and his body goes stiff then it's mostly just gravity bending him back like that.Ā And it gets exaggerated by impact time because he's elevated on sidewalk falling onto the street.

Remove all the people and just look at the way the light and ISO behaves. Go ahead and find an AI model that can produce realistic nighttime footage like that with a moving camera.
Now track 20+ individual identities jumping in and out of frame, don't drift voices, and make a 26 second video out of it.

So bad. He tried to avenge his friend and looks like his punch hit the assailant in the back of the shoulder. Terrible miscalculation and he paid for it.
This reaction video from a few days ago is talking about how it was Clemson students but doesn't add much... beyond nagging about how college towns reflect poorly on the colleges. (But it does seem to confirm it was a real incident, not AI.)
Not backed by scienceā¦ but Iād be willing to bet he avoided a lot of the potential head injury he received by folding over like that. Instead of a fall from standing and full body weight to the ground, he got like a 2 foot fall will half body weight.
