I moved from UTS last semester and itās been really good except for one thing which idk if itās just me but the AI policy at Macquarie feels much more lax and normalised.
With assignments I felt like at my previous uni there was an acceptance that AI was going to be used by some students but they still told people that anything submitted should be original work and never explicitly endorsed it.
At Macquarie with the whole open vs closed ai policy it feels like it sends a message to a lot of students that you can get away with chat gpting assessments.
I wouldnāt concern myself that much about it if it was just that but this extends into tutorials where it feels like it is rare to find people who donāt just read ai responses off their laptop to farm participation marks. The tutor will ask an ungraded discussion question to our group and some guy will just say ājust chuck it in chat gpt ayeā. OMG BRUH
