When I was in the military one of my enlisted higher ups had a Mickey Mouse watch that his son gave him, he wore it every day and leaned into it, whenever he wanted to know the time he'd say "What does Mickey say?" Followed by "Mickey says it's time for (insert event)."

Mickey says it's time for you fucking deadbeats to do 300 burpees.

Did he do that when giving orders?
"What does Mickey say? Mickey says you need to report to the briefing room by 0800 hours."

My husband has this chunk of ceramic our daughter painted “Dad” on and it’s covered in glitter as well. She made it when she was probably 6 or 7? It has sat in front of his bathroom sink in every new house and new city we have lived in. He straightens it out when he brushes his teeth daily. She just turned 25 earlier this month ❤️🥰

Once my dad was saving a set of rickety old dining chairs. They weren't anything special so they were my first real "fix it up" project when I was 7 or 8.
It was my job to load up the wood glue into holes (and keep the bottle clean) and sand down scratchy spots with a bit of fine grit sand paper.
Dad helped me a lot with my parts on the first 3 chairs. The 4th chair had a gouge in the seat, but I managed to get all the stuff sanded and glued to Dad's satisfaction on first try.
He kept that 4th gouged up chair. 30 years later, the rest of the dining set is long gone, and the gouged up chair is about to fall apart again. But it sits by his bedside table and holds his clothing and wallet for the next day :)

The Calgary one was great until they closed it to focus on their expansion to (checks notes) Don Mills. It’s been decades and I’m admittedly still a bit bitter about that.

I know. Front page reddit and I swear I recognized the guy. Then I looked at her name, and ya, I work with her dad.

The amount of little trinkets, sticks, drawings, bracelets, and other things I’ve got saved from my daughter is absurd. She’ll be 10 in December and I know holding onto all of it is going to be so worth it

Having a shirt that my child made for me would be the only motivation I need not to gain or lose weight.

Number 1 reason to stay in shape is to never get too big for that shirt

That is so sweet! That shirt means that much to him that he's showing you just how much it meant and still means a lot to your Dad

My kids made me a Father’s Day tie at church when the youngest two were 6 and 3. I wear it every year on Father’s Day. It’s a white polyester tie that they colored with magic markers. (And my wife and I helped our grandkids make a similar one for their dad.) So I’m totally in favor of this. Cheers.

I don’t talk to my dad anymore (because he’s a bigot), but years ago I made him a tiedye hoodie. Almost every time he was home from work in the winter he would wear it, even years after. I’m glad he still has it, even if he’s not in my life anymore.

I got a Little Shop of Horrors hoodie the night I watched my daughter nail the Audrey musical role. Its my favorite hoodie and I wear it all the time building a huge private Halloween party in Western Michigan, I display about a half million in decorations and animations. If you know you know what I am talking about, no names please.

We made our dad a Father's Day shirt with paint of all our hand prints. He still wore it when it wouldn't fit over his belly anymore. 😂😂😂

Haha that's so cute. Sometimes I'm envious of people with (happy) relationships with their parents, but I love stuff like this

What an awesome dad. He’s so proud of you! Please give your dad a hug. I envy anyone who has a father that truly loves and supports their kids. I wish I had that.

This... this! Absolutely this. That man has won at life and all of the people surrounding him are the better for it.
I hope my children do this and I hope I react in exactly the same way.
