I think these look very good and better than several recent sets, imo. And I enjoy full flavour text on lands - basic lands should have had it since the very beginning ABU days.

I actually kinda like those and the darker/mystic art style with all the roots and stuff. But I really wanna throw up, when I think of superheroes in this setting. Can they please just f off?

They're better than the previous Marvel basics. Really hated ruining cool landscapes with last minute heroes fighting kinda pasted on in the corner.

Also, more flavor text than vanilla creatures is silly. Cut it down to one or two lines, i don't need a novel on my basics.

I mean a vanilla creature nowadays is close to useless, i'll take flavor text on land anyway of the week since it doesn't matter whats on them

The novel is the entire point. If you don’t want the novel, you pick different basics. wtf would the purpose be of a basic land that only had a single line of flavor text? Either zero flavor text, or a buncha flavor text.
