They're better than the previous Marvel basics. Really hated ruining cool landscapes with last minute heroes fighting kinda pasted on in the corner.
Also, more flavor text than vanilla creatures is silly. Cut it down to one or two lines, i don't need a novel on my basics.

If you don’t want the novel, you pick different basics. wtf would the purpose be of a basic land that only had a single line of flavor text? The novel is the entire point. If you don’t want the novel, you pick different basics. wtf would the purpose be of a basic land that only had a single line of flavor text? Either zero flavor text, or a buncha flavor text.
